Lagan

My family, friends and I had the most wonderful weekend in Lagan House. The house is quite simply stunning and impeccably fitted out with all you could possibly need, and more! The location could not be more beautiful, with the beach a mere two minute walk!

The owner, Michael, is a true gentleman who could not have done more for us. He truly went above and beyond in looking after us and even helped facilitate group travel in and around the area with the loveliest people. We were bowled over with the hospitality and warm welcome! The house and garden areas are simply breathtaking, all with a touch of luxury and pure comfort.

I genuinely could not recommend Lagan house enough. There is no doubt that we will be back in the future, hopefully for several more visits!!

A stunning home in the most beautiful location, with access to the beach, fantastic for a dip in the sea! The property is incredible with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing getaway away. What you see on the photos is what you get, it’s nothing short of perfection. We loved the outdoor BBQ and the large projector screen for movie nights. Lovely walks, peaceful countryside and breathtaking views. A short drive from Louisburgh village with good shops, pubs and a fab village chipper. Not much further, is Westport for a wider variety of amenities. Thanks to Michael, our host, for being so accommodating. We made some very special family memories here. If you decide to come here, you will not be disappointed!

"Out of this World"
My group of 11 and I stayed at Lagan House this weekend and it surpassed all expectations. The house itself is just unrivalled luxury, complete with all high end finishings, the beds are sooo comfy, it has every single amenity you may require and more, and then the panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and of Croagh Patrick are just out of this world!

The kitchen is fantastic, its enormous with seating to fit everyone around the table or on the sofas...or in our case standing round the huge counter sipping bubbles having the best time :)
There is a projector screen for movies, Sky, Netflix, even Alexa is set up and rearing to go!!

Eamon met us upon our arrival and showed us around, he was so patient and helpful with any queries we had.

Then there's our superhero, Michael the owner. He could not have done enough for us, popping by to show us how to use all of the services, and bringing us additional wine glasses in case we ran out...he clearly knew his audience!!
He also popped in the next day to adjust the hot water for us, just fantastic service.

And we cannot forget John, the resident chef!! Michael's brother had a loaf of fresh bread left for us when we arrived. Then he popped by again over the weekend with more fresh loaves from the oven! We felt truly spoiled by the entire team at Lagan House.

This was not just a weekend away, it was an experience of luxury and one my group and I cannot wait to repeat. Lagan House has an incredible energy, it is furnished and completed with love, and it shows.

Michael, Eamon and John, thank you so, so much for everything and for making our stay so memorable. We cannot wait to return again soon.

We had an absolutely fantastic weekend in Lagan House this June Bank Holiday. There was a large group of us from ages 8 weeks to 78 and we all had just a wonderful time. The location is second to none and the accommodation is even better. We dined outside most evenings with the outdoor barbecue and our trips to the beach for swims morning and evening was made even easier with the outdoor shower. There are so many facilities available in the house with everything just of the highest quality. The best thing about the house really though was that it allowed our families to stay together and enjoy each others company in a way that you just couldn't get with other holiday rentals. The large seating area indoors and the extensive patio outdoors were just both excellent spaces for both adults and children to be together. The house was perfect for our large group and we really had a fantastic time. Michael is a pleasure to deal with and we are looking forward to our next stay in Lagan House. We would highly recommend it!

We were a group of 6 on a 5 day break in may. We were met by Michael who gave us a tour and explained how everything worked etc. he also gave us his local managers details (Eamon) in case of an issue. We had one request for some patio umbrellas and Eamon appeared in 5 mins to sort us out. On two days Eamon also provided us with 4 homemade wheaten loaves! The property is everything it says in the ads. Its beautifuly finished the beds are really comfy the kitchen is really well equipped ( we cooked in every night including a bbq). We watched the sunset every night from the living area - just stunning. It was literally 2 mins to the Old Head beach where we swam every morning. 10 mins to croagh Patrick (CP)climbing point, 15 mins to Westport, 5 mins from louisburgh village which had a Spar. We did the Achill Island Greenway cycle ( bus to. Achill and cycled back) a great trip but takes longer than you think! A couple of the party climbed CP -about 3 hrs up and down. We have been holidaying every year in the west for quite sometime and have stayed in some great properties but would all agree this one was the best by a margin.
The location, the quality of the house is pretty faultless reallv Michael is also great to deal with and the whole trip from start to finish was totalling relaxing. We would highly recommend staying here at any time.

Stunning Location & Hospitality

This property is idyllic - We rented both Lagan & Avalon for a family gathering. Properties are impeccable, every need is catered for. Perfect secluded location, practically on the beach, at the foothills of Croagh Patrick. Outstanding views in every direction. 10/15 mins into Westport & 5 mins from Louisburgh. Michael is the perfect host, nothing is too much trouble. He works hard to make sure his guests are well taken care of. Can not recommend a stay here highly enough.

Stunning house with an Epic view

We recently stayed at the Old Head Beach house and we can only say the stay was truly the five star experience. The house is super modern with everything you need for a large gathering, plenty of space and the atmosphere is superb. There is ample parking and all mods/cons needed for a longer stay are available, the owner Michael has thought of every detail to make the stay very comfortable for his guests. Honestly he couldn’t of done enough for us, from delivering fresh brown bread to us in the morning to offering us a lift to Westport, to being an impromptu photographer, he really went above and beyond. Our event was a hen party and several of the girls in attendance said it was the nicest house they had been to in Ireland! Would fully recommend. Five star ⭐️

He was so accommodating, went over and above including driving a few of us into Westport town, he arranged fresh brown bread to be delivered one morning and also was on call for the entire weekend. I couldn't recommend this place enough for a family stay or with a group of friends. Also the location was so stunning, a short walk to the beach. This house and Michael are truly the 5 star experience.

Excellent holiday rental
Just returned from our 2nd visit to Lagan. Another amazing holiday. Thanks to Michael, the owner, and his family. They are so welcoming and accommodating, just cannot do enough to make your holiday special. The house itself is wonderful with everything that you could ever need, from appliances to the smallest kitchen equipment. The scenery is breathtaking, a couple of minutes stroll to the beach is perfect for the family. There is so much to do locally, whether you want an activity holiday or just sit and relax this is the place to be. I cannot recommend the place highly enough

We had a magical holiday here with my family ranging in ages from 8 months to 73! The location was amazing but Michael and his family went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful holiday. When we were thinking of climbing croagh patrick with young children his brother Eamonn called round to give us all the advice we needed. We hope to return again! Thanks again Michael and family!

"Lovely Lagan"
We had our family group stay at Lagan House for a week to ring in the New year, from the moment we arrived we were blown away from the amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean to the stunning Lagan House. The House is beautiful and has every luxury and amenity you could want, the large projector screen was used nearly every night to watch movies on sky, and Alexa was kept going playing everyone's favourite tunes, the rooms are beautiful and the kitchen is superb. Michael the owner is a real gentleman and Eamon the caretaker is at hand day or night for your questions or any problems that might occur. We have stayed at a lot of holiday homes around Ireland and have to say that Lagan is the best by far, and when the owner and caretaker are so nice and accommodating it adds to the experience. So thank you Michael for such a lovely break and we will definitely be back soon. Lots of love from the New Year's Bash Gang from Kildare and UK.

"Beautiful Lagan"
I've just returned from a week visiting Co Mayo, my Mum's home county, with all my family and we stayed in Lagan. The house is lovely, so clean and comfortable. We decided to go for a bit of luxury on this holiday and Lagan didn't disappoint! Beautiful bathrooms, amazing comfy beds, big screen projector TV, Sky TV, WI-FI, coffee machine - all totally amazing. Not to mention the views of Croagh Patrick and the mountains and the sea with beautiful Old Head beach just a stone's throw away. Michael and his team can't do enough for you and are very approachable and helpful. Thanks Michael we'll never forget our amazing week in Mayo, staying at Lagan.

Had a wonderful week in this beautiful house, with my family including 7 grandchildren aged between 1 and 13. It has everything you could ask for in a house, it is exactly as you see in the video and is very well maintained. From our first enquiry to Michael, the owner, the service was second to none. Eamon greeted us with a very warm welcome and the housekeeper Margaret visited us on the first couple of mornings to check that we were settling in and everything was ok. It was also a lovely surprise midweek when the owners brother, John, arrived with warm bread just out of the oven.. Even the man who came to cut the grass was so friendly, showing the children his boat.
There were 15 of us but not once did we feel cramped or on top of each other.
The house is perfect for adults, but the children absolutely loved it , they had such freedom and loved the beach being so near. The views of Croagh Patrick on one side and the sea on the other is just amazing. The situation of this house is perfect.
It was lovely meeting Michael towards the end of the holiday and we can not thank him enough for a wonderful holiday, we will definitely be returning.
