Kenmare Lodge: Kerry

A Beautiful Holiday Home in the heart of Kenmare, Ireland

Quiet “Get-Away” location in the heart of Ireland’s most sought after place to be: Kenmare. All-Ireland winner of Ireland’s Best Kept Town Kenmare is deemed Heritage town planned by Sir William Petty in 1670.

Relax out in the privacy of your own garden area and enjoy a BBQ in the evening sun after a healthy walk or game of golf in the course a hundred metres from our front door!

Brandylochs offers you the once in a lifetime opportunity to connect with yourself – and others. Relax in the mature gardens and listen to the varied birdsong from the goldfinch the robin and the thrush.

The house is spacious: the entrance hallway leads to a balcony mounted stairway to the four bedrooms each with it own toilet, bath or shower; each bedroom overlooks the Kenmare Golf Course or the Gardens & Woodlands. Irish and International paintings are displayed throughout.

The comfort of our AGA cooker ensures a warmth and cosiness year round. This is an oil burning cooker that radiates heat 24/7 and is an essential part of a European home!! We find the AGA great for drying and , would you believe , even ironing clothes. It’s great to have a stove that’s always at the ready.

The house is heated by an oil fired central heating system which ensures great comfort all round. The fact that we also have two log burning fireplaces offers the opportunity for your regular fire-side chat!!! We supply a start up facilitiy for this option.

We also supply a Welcome Pack to enable you get started with the minimum of fuss and the least amount of shopping.

"What a great week"
This has to be one of the best locations I have ever stayed. The house is so close to the centre of Kenmare. Anne and Terry were so nice to deal with and even left us a welcome pack. Really nice touch. The layout of the house is superb and ideal for every type of holiday maker. The information pack was very useful as all the phone numbers were provided for the local food spots. So happy we were able to get availability. The gardens are so well maintained. You can tell they really care about the place. The family had a great time in the garden and the BBQ was well used during out stay. I would recommend this house 100%. You will not get a better house in the region.

"An absolute gem'
We rented the entire house out for a week for our extended family of 9 adults. Terry and Anne greeted us on arrival and they are a wonderful couple who were so welcoming we instantly felt at home. They gave us a tour of the house and it's facilities and provided us with a welcome pack with a guide to the local area, sites, restaurants and bars. The welcome hamper with all the essentials to help us settle in was a lovely touch, nothing like a cup of tea whilst you unpack. The house is immaculate and beautifully designed but not so polished you feel uncomfortable, for me Brandylochs gives off vibes of Nantucket, seaside chic and holidays. The house immediately feels like home. Brandylochs full of personality and there are thoughful warm touches everywhere, beautiful paintings adorn the walls, wonderful pottery and items from all over the world draw the eye, the two sitting rooms/reception rooms have comfortable couches where the entire family can gather without feeling cramped, my brothers would usually be draw to the tv but we rarely had it on which was a miracle in itself. Instead our nights were filled with laughter playing board games on the massive dining table, relaxing and chatting in the beautiful private back garden for a delicious bbq. The house is so spacious it offers something for everyone, if you feel like being sociable you can sit and chat with others in one of the sitting rooms or you can slink off to the second sitting room for some alone time reading some of the varied books that can be found on the bookshelves. The piano was a complete hit, we spent hours playing it along with my brothers guitar. The five bedrooms are all large en suite which was perfect. Everyone was extremely happy with their rooms and the beds are so comfortable. The house is located in a cul de sac so it's incredibly peaceful. However you are only a short walk into kenmare town, no more than a two minute stroll down to the restaurant, pubs, shops and galleries. We booked restaurants based on Anne and Terry's recommendations and they were fabulous, they really know their stuff. The house is a short drive away from activities such as kayaking, golf, horse riding and sea safaris which are a must. Reenagross woodland park across the road is lovely for getting back to nature. Overall this was a wonderful trip to a fabulous house and we can definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a home away for home for their Irish adventures. We will definitely be coming back, thanks for everything Terry and Anne!

"An Irish Experience"
Beautiful home set well off the main drag so is nice & quiet while still being a short stroll to the centre of town. Our host Terry (from Derry in Kerry) was very welcoming with a wealth of information. I feel this is a true B&B, a room in a home with a lovely breakfast - I see a review complaining that the breakfast was not enough, if you want a rolling buffet go to a hotel; cereals, yoghurt, juice, breads/toast, tea/coffee with bacon, tomato's & egg is more than plentiful - no need to be greedy!!

We stayed for two nights with two kids so were more than happy not to have a television or tea/coffee facilities in the rooms.

If you want a lovely Irish experience stay at Brandy Lochs & you won't regret it, just remember this is a B&B not a hotel.

Thanks a million Terry & Winston the dog for being so accommodating.

"Excellent accommodation"
Spent just one night here during our motorbike tour of Southern Ireland. We just rocked up and was welcomed by Terry. Lovely comfortable night, beats a tent any day and amazing breakfast the next day, love the honey Terry. Would definitely stop again and recommend to friends. Enjoyed meeting Winston too .
