The historic city of Palermo is a must-visit, and it's only a twenty-two-minute drive. As the capital of Sicily, this city is oozing with culture, amazing food and marvelous architecture. When the beach is calling, you'll be glad to know you can have your feet on the sand within no time at all. Mondello Beach is only a ten-minute walk. Take a picnic to the beach and return home later in the afternoon ready for cocktail hour in the villa's back courtyard.
