Inis combines elegance, comfort and space that is perfect for a big group of friends or family but also cosy enough for two of you who want a beautiful place to stay. It has a huge expanse of panoramic glass in the kitchen giving great views of the stunning mountains behind and creating a light filled space. This house is perfect for entertaining friends and family with it’s spacious open plan kitchen and fabulous dining area. It’s a great house for the summer with its large patio overlooking the mountains. It’s also very cosy in the winter with the warmth of the fire lit and the luxury of it’s
very comfortable living area.

Local Area

Inis is in Dooks, a beautiful haven of peace, with a lovely little protected beach where the Caragh river enters Dingle Bay. If you walk Dooks beach the views are spectacular with Dingle Bay in front of you, the mountains of Dingle peninsula on one side of it and the stunning Iveragh peninsula mountains on the other side and the McGillicuddy Reeks behind you, including the highest mountain in Ireland Carraountuohil. If you are into golf Dooks also has a famous golf links course with the same wonderful views as the beach, up there with the most scenic golf courses in the world. If you fancy a swim just walk 5 minutes up the private laneway to Dooks beach and swim in these wonderful surroundings.

The cute village of Glenbeigh is five minutes’ drive away, it has the fantastic Emilie’s, a bakery with great bread and cakes and a restaurant that has the most delicious sourdough pizzas as well as lots of other great food. Glenbeigh also has a lively pub and two hotels that are great for eating and drinking. There is also a shop for all your groceries and a great butcher’s counter.
There are also exceptionally good restaurants in Killorglin, including Gionvanellis, an Italian with a Michelin Bib Gourmand and the new Kingdom 1795 which is on its way to Michelin recognition. Killorglin also has a great fresh fish shop and delicatessen with local artisan foods. This is a fantastic location to tour the breathtaking scenery of the Ring of Kerry route around the Iveragh Peninsula, or head over to the Dingle peninsula and take the Slea Head drive. If you want to get active try the big 5 guided adventures of the Reeks district, climb Ireland’s highest mountain, kayak the length of Caragh Lake, Surf Inch Beach, cycle the Ring of the Reeks or stand up paddle board on Cloon Lake.


This house sleeps eight very comfortably, it has four bedrooms. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, the master bedroom has a super king size double and views towards the Caragh estuary and the mountains and an ensuite with bath and shower, the second has a double bed and an ensuite with shower. On the ground floor there are two twin bedrooms and a family bathroom with shower.


There are three bathrooms in this home, there are two ensuite bathrooms on the first floor, one has a bath with shower and the other a shower. On the ground floor is a family bathroom with shower.

Living Area

There is a huge kitchen cum dining area, the kitchen has an island you can use as workspace, a breakfast bar with stools and lots of kitchen equipment for those who love to cook. There is a large wooden dining table under a high ceiling, next to a huge panoramic glass window with views out to the mountains, so you can sit and have your breakfast with the light streaming in, looking out at the lovely view. This table was made for entertaining, it seats at least 10 and can stretch to more, great for meals with family and friends. There is a double-sided fireplace so you can light the fire and enjoy its warmth from the kitchen or the living room.There are double doors from the kitchen into an elegant and extremely comfortable living room. There are two large couches and a chaise longue. A large coffee table has lots of books on Kerry and all the interesting things to see and experience in the area. With the warmth of the fire and all the candles you will have a very cosy time here at any time of the year.

Utility Room

There is a separate utility room with a fridge/freezer, washing machine and dryer. Perfect for drying your gear after a walk in the country.

Outside Space

There are patio doors from the kitchen to a large patio area that looks towards the mountains. There are two large rattan couches with cushions, a large table and several rattan stools so you can dine or sip a glass of wine outdoors in comfort. There are also other little table and chair areas if you want to have a party! You will be surrounded by mature hydrangeas and a plant that is typical of the area, Montbrechia.


There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and two bedrooms on the first floor.
