This area is a great base for walkers and cyclists where you can explore both the Borders Abbey Way and St Cuthbert s Way. Less than 5 miles away is Scott s View a favourite spot of the novelist Walter Scott, which offers a stunning view of The Eildon Hills. The historic town of Melrose (8 miles) features the ruins of Melrose Abbey, the Priorwood orchard and the walled Harmony Gardens. The home of rugby sevens, Melrose is also host of the Melrose Sevens tournament. The historic town of Kelso (7 miles) visit beautiful Floors Castle, the 12th century abbey and Kelso Racecourse. The championship golf course at Roxburghe is also nearby (11.5 miles). Attractive 19th century Dower House, as you arrive you will instantly fall in love with the charm of this Country House. As you come through the front door there is a lobby which leads into an attractive, spacious hallway.
