House in Cumbria: Cumbria

Explore the fells you can spy from your window and head out for a climb. Lace up your boots and make the 8 mile trip to the Helvellyn range or start the Coledale Horseshoe walk 3 miles away in Braithwaite. A 9.5 mile loop, the Coledale Horseshoe is a wonderful walk that winds its way over the Wainwright Fells and more. For a more leisurely day, hop on a cruise of Derwentwater (1.5 miles) where you can do a lap of the lake or hop on and off to adventure your way around the lakeside towns and villages. Treat yourselves to a night off from the kitchen and book a table at one of many lovely pubs in Keswick before enjoying a film at the cinema or a show at the Theatre by the Lake, both within a mile from your door. Stepping inside your home from home, hang up your coat and leave your shoes on the rack. Creating an inviting hub of the house where you can enjoy sociable times before and after days in the great outdoors is the open plan living space. Here, the lounge and diner fit together and are warmed by a wood burner that promises to keep the chill at bay. Sofas and chairs fit perfectly around the wood burner, Smart TV/DVD and the coffee table which you can pile high with treats and a board game. Filled with natural light and contemporary style it s a great place to spend time. Before serving up at the dining table, designate your chef and cook up a storm in the sleek, light kitchen. Filled with handy appliances, you should find all the space and all you need to rustle up delicious feasts from morning til night. Stored in a cupboard by the dining table are a host of useful things. On the first floor, a twin bedroom and a king sized bedroom are spacious and tranquil places to rest your head after long days. With a family shower room with WC and bathroom with shower over the bath and WC on this floor, freshen up with ease in the morning with a soak in the tub or a refreshing rinse. Residing up a further set of stairs on the second floor are the two remaining bedrooms. A double with the bed pushed against the wall and another king sized bedroom with a sloping ceiling and Smart TV. Great for warm days and a lovely spot in which to enjoy your morning coffee and evening tipples, the enclosed yard can be found via the kitchen or through the back gate. A pair of tables invite you to sit with snacks and bask in the fresh air. If you re enjoying an adventurous holiday and bringing bikes and kayaks with you, store them here but bring a lock with you to secure them. There is roadside parking.
