"Amazing from start to finish"
I stayed 2 nights at the Country House and everything about the place was amazing. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We had breakfast and an evening meal, and both were exceptional. Our room had a gas fire, and was beautifully decorated. Comfy and cozy.

"Simply Outstanding"
Let's get this out of the way...the house is more than 120 years old. The floors creak, the doors rattle, the windows are single glazed.......and I DON'T CARE! If you demand 21st century building standards there's a perfectly good Premier Inn in Coleraine.

We stayed in here on 6th and 7th September (Room 8) celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and the experience was simply outstanding. It is difficult to say whether the staff or the food were the highlight but I'll plump for the staff who were friendly, efficient and keen to ensure we had a great stay. I'll single out the lovely Valerie who seemed ever present and indeed has clocked up more than 20 years here.

Our room was bright and comfortable and the bathroom huge and well appointed. We booked the gourmet package and it lived up to its name. Afternoon tea was relaxed, flavoursome and interesting....potato bread chips....who knew? The six course tasting menu on Saturday night was exemplary. I don't as a habit eat tomatoes but I came close to asking for seconds of the heritage tomatoes - simple food done really well. The star of the show for us both was the lightly smoked venison. If the venison achieved 5 stars the jus it was served with got six!

This is a dowager of country house hotels, handsome, dignified and more than a match for her peers regardless of the occasional creaking joint or draft of escaping wind.

"Fabulous" We had an amazing Sunday lunch here. If I had to pick any fault it would be that on our arrival we were left in the drawing room for about 10 mins waiting for menus or without being offered an aperitif. Otherwise the food and service was fabulous. We eat out often and it’s been one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. The smoked beef starter turned out to be a fabulous beef tartare with confit egg yolk (amazing). The pheasant main with butternut squash purée was delicious. Very memorable and definitely worth a visit.

What a Find
This was our first visit, despite the fact we've lived only 5 miles away for the last few years. The service was impeccable from start to finish with a lovely welcome from Valerie. From the homemade breads when we sat down to the lightest custard tart I've ever had the pleasure to eat, this place is an absolute find.
We'll be back soon.

Fabulous food, excellent service & beautiful surroundings!
We had a family celebration on Sunday in the conservatory. 18 of us were around the long table and it was just perfect. Very comfortable and private without being isolated.

The service was prompt and they team were well trained, polite and efficient as well as personable.

The surrounds were just beautiful, lush and green.

We will al be back! Too busy eating and chatting to take photos of our food, but here is one of the Chocolate Nemesis!
