Set across one floor, this peaceful villa near Spartia has an open flow between the bright living spaces. The inviting bedrooms each have wrought-iron beds and cooling white walls, providing calming respite after long days in the sun. Our favourite part? The abundance of sliding French doors that lead out to the main attraction, the green gardens with views of the Ionian Sea. A dolphin-shaped pool is all yours, with sun loungers to dry off on.

The kitchen has a welcoming pine table, but most afternoons will be spent enjoying the vista alfresco, whether you're cooking up a storm on the built-in barbecue or sipping cocktails at the wicker dining set. If you feel the ocean calling, wander down the hill to the rocky outcrop lined with parasols and daybeds and dive straight in.

*Due to the location, we recommend having a car to best explore the area – covered parking is available at the home
*Your host can provide a free cot and high chair on request
*Towels are changed every three to four days, while bedding is changed once per week
*This is a single-level home with just a few steps from the carport to the entrance

*The swimming pool isn't fenced, so children will need to be supervised at all times
