Maintaining elements of the house’s original architecture, you’ll see local dry stone walls and authentic beamed ceilings alongside modern finishes, including minimal furnishings and modernised tiling. The house’s neutral colour palette reflects the surrounding area’s tranquil spirit, creating a calm haven that's a dream to unwind in.

No matter the time of day, the impressive, carob tree-lined garden will compel you to spend most of your time here. Stretch out under the sun-dappled pergola with your new read, take a refreshing dip in the crystalline saltwater pool and feast together in the outdoor dining room. Come dusk, share a bottle of local Nero d'Avola and make for the terrace, where you can watch the sun fall beneath the hay-bale-lined horizon.

Just ten minutes away by car is Scicli, a historic town known for its UNESCO World Hertigate-status and Baroque Cathedral, Chiesa di San Bartolomeo. Spend the afternoon musing the cafe-lined streets, seeking out local tavernas and independent boutiques. When you’re seeking sand, make the 7km drive to the rustic coastline.
