Area Located in the middle of the Holderness peninsular in East Yorkshire, the quaint rural village of Burton Pidsea is only six miles from the coast. There are a few pubs in town, as well as a general store and church. Around it are miles of smooth country roads ideal for cycling and ambling. Hedon, a historic district with modern conveniences close by, is a great place to visit. Hull, the 2017 City of Culture, is just 7 miles from Burton Pidsea and is home to the wildly successful Truck Theatre and the fantastic The Deep aquatic centre. Seeing Hull's old commercial heart is a fascinating experience that reveals the city's rich history. Large, sandy beaches stretch from Spurn Point to Bridlington, and the Flamborough Cliffs, Bempton Marshes, and Spurn Point RSPB Reserves are all fantastic spots for birdwatchers.
