"Hidden gem"
Spent the night in one of Finn Lough's forest domes as a surprise for my husband's birthday. Their website doesn't do it justice as I found out most of the info I needed by reading reviews. The location is beautiful & the decor throughout is very stylish. The place is quiet & feels very private. The food is really good & we ate early-ish so that we could have the option of watching a movie in the little cinema room by the bar.
The forest domes are extraordinary, very private, very clean and have everything you need including robes, hairdryer, coffee machine. We got a really clear night despite rain during the day & fell asleep under a blanket of stars, we even saw a shooting star.
Great getaway for a special occasion

Will definitely be back
Great resort with some of the quirkiest styles we have ever seen. It all fits in so well with the natural surroundings. The choice of “watch the stars domes”, lough view lodges, bike rides, walks, kayaks and the elements trail are all great. The element trail is definitely worth doing, it was so relaxing and we loved the walk in the forest between each element. We could not find fault anywhere and would like to thank the owners (Michael & Gillian ), and their entire team for creating such a well managed resort. Dinner in the kitchen was the best meal of our 10 day trip, which included 5* hotels in Galway, and Megan was such a fantastic host. Can’t wait till our next trip and we

Magical escape
My husband and I booked a night here for our 10th Wedding anniversary this week and we were delighted with the experience.
We arrived late due to lots of delays and got there just as the spa was closing. To accommodate us, they stayed open late and didn’t make us feel in any way rushed or as if we were any bother.
The receptionist and the Spa manager Nuala were particularly kind and really enhanced our enjoyment of our visit. We stayed in a bubble which was as magical as I’d hoped despite bad weather. The rain added to the whole ambience rather than took from it.
We had dinner in the beautifully decorated restaurant and it was very enjoyable. We were touched that they gave us a complimentary and surprise dessert with a Happy Anniversary message.
Breakfast was included and was delicious. We went for a cycle along the lake afterwards and we were so glad we did, it was beautiful.
Altogether a fantastic experience. Highly recommended

Fabulous stay
Had a brilliant night here. Staff were fantastic and really helpful. Very pricey but worth it for something different. Food was delicious in the restaurant and thanks to the Portugeuse bar man who gave great wine recommendations. Would love to go back again one day!
