Ey Up Duck: North Yorkshire

There’s something to satisfy everyone’s wanderlust at this immaculate barn conversion, perfectly poised between North Yorkshire’s historic towns, the mighty Moors, and the deep blue sea.

Don your walking boots for bracing walks in the national park (seventeen-minute drive). Linger over lazy lunches in the stroll-worthy medieval city of York (forty-five-minute drive). Pack up a picnic and head to the charming seaside town of Whitby (forty-five-minute drive). Or keep things closer to the hamlet of Little Habton, where you’ll find this home. Castle Howard, with its magnificent gardens and adventure playgrounds, is a fifteen minutes drive away. And when tummies start to rumble, your local inn is just a fifteen-minute walk for a hearty meal and swift pint.

Back home, the lofty high ceilings and exposed beams make quite a first impression, while freshly cut flowers, vintage pieces, and statement lighting (reclaimed from the London underground, we hear) add that all-important charm. Feedback from guests regarding this home has never been short of outstanding, and it's easy to see why. The restful interiors are pristine and the attention to detail is second-to-none.

After long summer days of adventuring, kick off your shoes in the inviting hallway and mosey straight on out to the south-facing garden for alfresco barbecues and evening drinks. Or take things indoors on chiller evenings to break out the board games and get your glow on beside the log burner.
