We booked in February for a family birthday and our stay at Seodin was well beyond anything we had expected. When we arrived our party set about exploring the house with beaming faces which took a little while as the house is huge! The bedrooms were very big and were well accessed with the four bathrooms. The kitchen had absolutely everything you could need - even four different ways to make coffee! The geothermal heating in the house meant it was always toasty and warm - the Spanish fire grate was perfect for setting a roaring turf fire after a day exploring deserted wild and awesome Donegal beaches and mountains. The views at Seodin were what will stay with me for ever .... Errigal mountain on one side and the ever-changing vista of the lake as the rain and snow funnelled down from the Poisoned Glen on its way to Gweedore which was always shortly followed by the sun which brought the lake back to sparkling life again. The absolutely only hesitation I have in recommending Seodin is that I wanted to keep it all to myself and feared I won’t get the dates for my return trip! Margaret the wonderful housekeeper tells me that a lot of people who come are return visitors and I think that says it all.

Absolutely beautiful house, really clean and tidy. Stunning views from the front of the house over the lake and the Poison Glen, and great views at the back of the house looking up Mount Errigal. We all had a fantastic stay here, the weather was great. The kids had a great time and the grandparents absolutely loved it.

The hosts were so friendly and made us feel very much at home. Highly recommend this cottage to everyone as a place to stay, particularly if you are into nature, mountains and rambling. We hope to be back in the future.
