Just spent a week here in Ballymac Village.
It was clean and nice place but that's where it ends. To far from any beach pub restaurant etc. If you like to drive around this will be ideal for you.

"Great place to stay"
We stayed in Ballymac with our children in August and we were really impressed with it. The house was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The grounds were kept really well and the donkeys and playground were a huge hit with the kids as were the tennis court and football pitch.

The beds are so comfortable and we slept really well for the duration of our trip - we made lovely coffee every morning from the supplied machine and all the appliances were top of the range - which is a really nice touch. The staff who greeted us, and the owner, were really friendly, helpful and accommodating also.

I'd highly recommend Ballymac Village and the whole process of staying in the deluxe premium house was really straightforward. We'll definitely stay again!

"A cut above...."
Gated development, very safe for kids whom loved the donkeys, tennis, playground and table tennis. Its the house itself which really impressed me. Everything is of a far higher standard than any other accommodation we have stayed in, both at home and abroad. It's the first time as well that the beds were more comfortable than my own. We booked another week in March before we left and that's a first for me.

"Enjoyable stay with old friends"
we agreed to meet up with a friend and his young family who were over from the states and as such made the journey down with some uncertainty as they did the booking!
any doubts though quickly abated and these were a few wonderful days. everything about the facility is top class - its professionally presented and maintained to a very high standard.
The location too is great with the beaches and a selection of shops nearby whilst the children really enjoyed their day in nearby pirates cove.
with a playground, football pitch and even pet donkeys there is plenty for youngsters to do. most pleasing though is how safe and secure it is with electronic gates so we never had to worry about the children.
it was a good trek down for us but the overwhelming consensus from young and old is that yes, we will be back!!!!

"Family holiday"
We spent a wonderful week in Ballymac Holiday homes. John ,the owner was very welcoming . The houses themselves were exactly as advertised, clean and everything that you would want in a home. The surroundings were very well kept and of course the donkeys were a great attraction. The security of the gated entrance gives great peace of mind for parents. I would highly recommend Ballymac Holiday homes for it's tranquil setting yet only five minutes by car to Morriscastle beach, another gem.

Just returned from a two week stay in Ballymac. Beautiful house, all mod cons and spotlessly clean in a very secure gated community. Bed linen was crisp white clean. Appliances were all brand new.

The kids could go out and play at the little playground at end of the road or kick a ball in the field. Lots of kids about so they were all well entertained and loved the freedom they wouldn't have in Dublin.
Location wise was very convenient - lots of lovely beaches within minutes drive. Handiest is morriscastle also worth a visit is Curracloe beach.
There is a nature reserve beside curracloe which had a track through the woods. We hired bikes from Wexford bikes and cycled about 4k to the most spectacular secluded beach. Amazing is all I can say. Ravens wood is the spot I believe.

We stayed at number 8 which we would definitely ask for again. John, the owner, was very helpful and responded promptly to any question we had via text or in person.

“Beautiful house, beautiful location”
5 of 5 starsReviewed 4 weeks ago via mobile
Just back from a great week in one of these beautiful holiday homes. The house was gorgeous, spotlessly clean and really well kept. Everything from the fully equipped kitchen to the furniture, bed linen etc. was really high quality. We were a party of 7 (5 adults and 2 kids) and had lots of space. Very secure and safe for the kids and between the private back garden, on-site donkeys and playground, there was lots to keep them entertained. The location too was great, just a 5 minute drive to kilmuckridge village with plenty of shops, pubs etc. and 5 minutes to the beautiful beach with clear water and white sand dunes - we will definitely be back! Many thanks to John and the family for making our stay so enjoyable!
