Crown Gardens is in a beautiful rural location. It is very well equipped. If you want to cook for yourselves you will probably need a trip to shops in the nearby towns but we ended up only doing that once because there was fantastic food to be had at the local pubs just a few minutes walk from the house, yummy cakes from the Abbey Stores and we never even sampled the two tea shops and deli! The weather was hit and miss for us with rain on alternate days but don’t be put off getting out and about because the Rayburn in the house and the garage space means that you will have no problems drying out. Enjoy!

A beautifully situated cottage with stunning views. We loved the little birds that visited the garden, plus hedgehogs and pheasants! Close to beautiful little places like Pickering, Hemsley and Thornton le Dale. We had a lovely time.

It was great fun using the rayburn to cook meals on. Breakfast can be cooked without turning the temperature up at all so saving on the fuel bills. Lots of room very clean and tidy although allowing dogs this usually means old furniture and tatty carpets.

Such a beautiful little place, a real haven. The snow added to the magic, a fantastic 7 mile walk from the cottage and a lovely meal in the local Pub. Thank you!

An excellent cottage in an amazingly unspoilt and quiet location. The ages of members in our party ranged from eight to seventy and we all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We have already recommended the cottage to friends.

Beds and bedrooms/bathrooms were excellent! Could have done with a few drawers particularly in the master bedroom. We had lovely time though and location was superb!
