: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness
We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Crosshaven House with our extended family, where adults stayed in the main house and children in the hostel-style accommodation, 51 degrees north. The main house is stunning with beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable rooms. The decor is elegant and in keeping with the period of the house while perfectly maintained. 51 degrees north is a fabulous accommodation option for groups (including groups of children, such as ours was). The beds are very comfortable and their design is very cool. Their structure, with curtains and an internal shelf, give a lovely sense of privacy and personal space, when this is required. The sauna and cinema are the icing on the cake and it's hard to imagine a better equipped setup.
Even though the house itself is stunning and well equipped for all needs, the outstanding highlight for us was the care we received, from Noel and his team. Everybody was pleasant and helpful, responding without delay whenever we needed anything and to answer our queries or give us info about the local area. They managed effortlessly to balance this care with absolute discretion, giving us a feeling of privacy and of having the house to ourselves. We started every day with a delicious breakfast, including Noel's home-made granola!
Crosshaven House is very well located in terms of activities and practicalities. Outside the front door are a well established gastro pub and a fabulous chipper. There is pitch and putt outside the back door, and numerous walking routes through woodlands, and along cliffs and beaches. Boats are available to rent from Crosshaven and it is a short drive to beautiful beaches. There's also a very well stocked mini supermarket a few hundred metres from the house, along with a playground and small amusement park (suitable for young children).
We wholeheartedly recommend Crosshaven House as ideal holiday accommodation and hope to make a repeat visit ourselves!
