Cottage in Somerset: Somerset

This beautifully converted chapel dates back to the 19th century and is peacefully situated in the small hamlet of Upper Vobster, which consists of a few houses and a no through road. This is an ideal holiday base for dog walking, cycling and country walks with the Mendip Hills opposite and the villages of Mells (1.5 miles) and Vobster (0.6 miles) nearby both with country pubs. For water, enthusiasts visit Vobster Quay (0.2 miles) an inland scuba diving, open water swimming, and stand up paddleboarding venue. The vibrant market town of Frome is 5 miles and the Roman city of Bath and the cathedral city of Wells are both 12.5 miles. Places of interest include Longleat Safari Park (10.8 miles), Chew Valley Lake (14.5 miles), Cheddar Gorge (20 miles), Glastonbury Tor (17 miles), and Stourhead House and Gardens (14 miles). This stylishly decorated detached conversion is light and airy and offers excellent attention to detail. Enter through the original chapel doors and into the hall, from here step into the property through the main front door, which leads to the lounge/diner. The lounge area is made for relaxing with a Smart TV and the dining area is perfect for mealtimes. Head up a few steps and into the kitchen, which has an island seating four and sliding doors opening into the garden. The ground floor also encompasses a single bedroom with original feature windows and a shower room, which is located opposite the bedroom. Heading up the steep cottage style stairs are a further three bedrooms, a king size with a Smart TV, a single with a TV and a further single bedroom. Completing the upstairs accommodation is a family bathroom. There are sloping ceilings upstairs, which is all part of the charm and character of this wonderful property. The enclosed pretty, private terrace is accessed via sliding doors from the kitchen and down four external steps with a handrail, you can also access the terrace from the side of the chapel. Here you will find garden furniture, which makes for a great place for some al fresco dining. From the terrace head down two steps to the lawned garden which is a lovely place for your four legged friends to play while you relax and enjoy the countryside views
