Cottage in North Wales: Denbighshire

Corwen Old Police Station is a lovingly restored Grade II listed building dating back to 1871. Explore the countryside and enjoy the local amenities on your doorstep in the attractive town of Corwen with pubs, eateries, and shops. Walk or cycle the trails from the town, including Pen Y Pigyn, and into the Berwyn Mountains. Travel on the scenic Heritage Railway to visit the vibrant town of Llangollen offering a wide range of shops, restaurants, and leisure activities, or hop off at one of the three stations in between. Explore the Dee Valley and visit Horseshoe Falls and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (10 miles), both World Heritage sites. Take a day trip to historic Ruthin, sail on Bala Lake (both 12 miles), or venture into Snowdonia National Park with its bustling gateway town of Betws y Coed (22 miles), imposing mountains and attractions such as Zip World, Bounce Below and Snowdonia Adventure Park. Pass through the original barred gate into the wide cell corridor leading to the old cells, now converted into luxury accommodation with your comfort in mind with features including underfloor heating and a cosy log burner. To the right is the games room with a football table and Pac Man, and a utility boot room with a washing machine, fridge/freezer, and plenty of space for your outdoor clothes and boots. There is also a useful wet room with a shower and WC on this floor. Walk through to the fabulous kitchen with granite worksurfaces which is well equipped with a range cooker with a five ring gas hob and electric ovens, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. It is a lovely space to rustle up a meal overlooking the private courtyard formerly used for the prisoners' daily exercise. Head through to the spacious lounge/diner with interesting features and plenty of space for everyone to gather around the dining table and enjoy your meal whilst planning your holiday activities. After dinner, relax on the comfortable sofas, watch the Smart TV or just catch up on each other s news by the glow of the wood burner on cosy nights in. Maybe test your skill on the football table in the games room. When ready for bed there are four fabulous bedrooms to choose from all super king size beds (two of which can be made as twins on request). Also on this floor, there is the stylish bathroom with shower over bath and WC, and the shower room with shower and a WC. The enclosed gated garden has Welsh stone walls with a hot tub, table and benches, feature charcoal BBQ, and feature lighting. It is a unique space to relax and enjoy al fresco dining or pre dinner drinks. There is also enough space to store your paddleboards or other sports equipment. You will find an outside hot tap, ideal for washing down dogs or bikes. The property has two tandem parking spaces at the rear. Please note that the charging of electric vehicles is not permitted or facilitated at the property. The nearest charge points are just a minute's walk from the property in the public carpark.
