Cottage in North Wales: Conwy

Set high above Eglwysbach village, with well known pub, and a short drive to Conwy, a World Heritage Site with castle, town walls, independent shops, eateries and fishing harbour. Put on your walking boots or get ready on your bicycle to discover gentle strolls to challenging climbs with breath taking views and an abundance of sites to see along the way. Visit the RSPB Reserve for wildlife watching, go river fishing or have an adventure at Zip World and Surf Snowdonia. Taste the delights in a plethora of pubs, restaurants, cafes and the Welsh Food Centre. Visit the collection of shops and attractions in and around the area from National Trust sites such as Bodnant Gardens to Britain's Smallest House. This property is one of two, set in the owners grounds where privacy is assured. This beautiful barn conversion oozes charm throughout with its wooden floors, travertine floor tiles, high ceilings, exposed beams and all the creature comforts for a most enjoyable stay. The door opens into the lounge/kitchen/diner with luxury touches including underfloor heating, iPod dock and fabulous views. If you decide to eat in, the kitchen area has granite work surfaces, electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine with all the equipment you need to rustle up a meal. The dining table is perfectly positioned by the kitchen to gather round, plan your activities and enjoy this social space. After dinner take time to relax on the sofas, read a good book, watch a film on the TV, and maybe light the wood burner or open the patio doors and let the outside in, whilst embracing the fabulous views. There is also a lovely twin bedroom on the ground floor with TV and en suite shower room and WC. Head upstairs to the first floor, admiring the feature lighting as you choose from the further two bedrooms, a double with additional single bed and en suite shower room and WC or the spacious super king size bedroom. Completing the accommodation on the first floor there is a family bathroom, perfect to take a leisurely bath, with freestanding bath and WC. The property also benefits from a heat recovery system. Outside, enjoy the wildlife and wonderful views from sunrise to sunset from the decked terrace with hot tub, table and chairs. There are also patio seating areas with spectacular mountain views and several walks to enjoy in the grounds or join the footpaths to explore further afield. There is also bike and canoe storage available and private parking for five cars. There is additional accommodation for 4 available in the neighbouring property, 'Buzzards View' should this be needed.
