With quick and easy access into the forest, there are fun options for all from paddling by the Blakeney Straits stream to paddleboarding around scenic Mallards Pike Lake. Biking in the forest is very popular with a wide range of great trails including adrenalin filled downhill routes. Jump on a steam train at Dean Forest or Perrygrove Railways, explore atmospheric Puzzlewood, exciting Go Ape! or just stroll around the Forest Sculpture Trail or Cyril Hart Arboretum. Step back into forest history at The Dean Heritage Centre and the Hopewell Colliery. For those wanting to explore further afield you are not far from the Wye Valley an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty great for climbing around Symonds Yat, Wye River walks, kayaking and even caving. Gloucester, Cardiff and Bath all make lovely day trips. The large welcoming lounge with two comfy sofas and a sturdy reading chair is an ideal haven to relax after a day s exploring. Bespoke crafted cupboards combine with modern fittings gas hob range, dishwasher, washer dryer, microwave, large fridge/freezer with ice maker and a contemporary six seater dining suite. A great room for anyone who loves to cook or where you can just relax and keep the chef company! An archway leads you into the garden room, a perfect retreat to hide away on the vintage sofa with a good book or glass of wine whilst overlooking the courtyard garden. When the day is done, climb the staircase to three welcoming bedrooms with Egyptian cotton bedding. Two double rooms have views onto the country lane with one being set as a luxurious super king or a spacious twin depending on your preference. The third bedroom looks onto the garden and has a large comfy single bed. The bathroom includes a separate walk in shower as well as the relaxing bath and WC. Fragrant British 100 Acres botanical toiletries are provided with fluffy white towels for all. The enclosed garden is reached through double patio doors and is a real suntrap. It is on several levels and comprises old railway sleepers, flagstones, brick walling and feature slate ground covering. There is a coffee table with parasol and sunchairs in the summer and a cosy summerhouse to relax in when the evening gets chilly. The garden enjoys the sun from mid morning until evening so pick your favourite spot. There is a handy gas barbeque for outside summer dining with a canopy sunshade over the six seater dining table. Car parking for one small car. Additional parking in a small, free residential car park just a minute's walk away or on the lane.
