Cottage in Cumbria: Cumbria

Set atop the hills in an idyllic location, a short 1.5 miles from the bustling market town of Ulverston, this property offers the best of both worlds, be it walking and cycling through country lanes or dining out in delightful restaurants. Additionally, the town plays host to art exhibitions held at the historic Coronation Hall throughout the year. Ulverston hosts a diverse array of festivals, from culinary and beer festivals to the renowned Dickensian Festival, among others. Situated a little over 9 miles away is Newby Bridge, where the southernmost point of Lake Windermere reaches towards the village of Lakeside, home to Windermere Lake Cruises (10 miles). For a touch of nostalgia, visitors have the opportunity to relive the past by indulging in a steam train journey from Newby Bridge to Haverthwaite, 7 miles distant from the charming cottage. Stepping into the cottage, you are welcome to kick off your muddy boots and hang your coats in the porch before entering the spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen area. Enjoy the panoramic views from the floor to ceiling patio doors whilst cosying up in front of the wood burner, or why not spend an evening catching up on your favourite series on the Smart TV? Breakfast can be enjoyed from the island whilst the chef of the house makes use of the amenities, amply supplied with everything you need for your self catering stay. Heading through the high ceilinged hallway you can find the well appointed twin bedroom, with a TV and beautiful views it s a peaceful place to slumber after a day on the fells. Opposite, you can find the family bathroom, with a stunning roll top bath and walk in rainfall shower. Further ahead, the master bedroom can be found, a spacious king size room with plenty of storage, a TV and a bijou en suite. Soak in the enchanting far reaching fell and sea views from the garden.
