Gateway Lodge is located within a few minutes walk from the picturesque town of Oughterard. Famed for its wild natural beauty Connemara is a hugely popular tourist destination. Some highlights include Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park, a heavily indented coastline, beautiful white sandy beaches, blanket bogs, the twelve Bens mountain range to name just a few. Lough Corrib is world renowned as one of the finest salmon and brown trout lakes.

Accommodation consists of 8 spacious bedrooms all ensuite.


Oughterard:
Oughterard is a traditional fishing town on the western shores of Lough Corrib, Irelands second largest lake with 365 islands, some of them inhabited.

There is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome, not to mention, a wealth of quality restaurants and pubs with traditional Irish music.
Oughterard village has several excellent craft shops including Fuchsia Crafts and Connemara Candles.

Fantastic spacious house in a beautiful location. We travelled as 3 families and didn't even use parts of this fabulous large house. House very warm despite its size and very clean too. Lovely grounds outside although not too safe for smaller children being so close to river. Though with all the space indoors it didn't worry us too much. Great host too, we would highly recommend this accommodation.

This house is amazing its cosy comfortable stylish and in a stunning (Website hidden by Airbnb) was such a delight to spend time here with our families, Kath our host was brilliant and couldnt be more helpful, the house in a great location with lovely walks and all possibly amenities within walking distance, Connemara Gateway Lodge far exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it and will 100 percent return.
