Clonakilty Estate House is a large luxurious 1700's country house estate with real rock & roll credentials. Formerly the home of Noel Redding, bass guitarist with the Jimi Hendrix Experience, the house exudes a laid-back vibe with lots of reminders & memorabilia from its musical heritage.

Surrounded by award-winning beaches, quiet coves and stunning West Cork scenery Clonakilty Estate House offers a perfect base to escape, explore and unwind. The house has been restored and refurbished to a luxurious standard, will 6 large fully en-suite bedrooms, tastefully furnished reception rooms and extensive gardens. It is a perfect venue for intimate and exclusive celebrations, from luxury hen parties to family gatherings, multi-generational vacations & micro-weddings. Additional private catering and cleaning services are available on request. Dinner parties are a popular choice with guests at Clonakilty Estate House, with most of the produce being grown on-site or sourced locally from the abundant West Cork producers in the area.
Cots are also available on request.

Clonakilty Estate House can sleep up to 16 guests for weekend stays or 14 guests for longer stays, but can also be combined with Orchard Cottage in the walled garden for a further 5 guests. Set on the Wild Atlantic Way coastal route, the stylish venue is close to Galley Head Lighthouse and ten minute drive from bustling Clonakilty town. Kinsale, Cork City and Cork International Airport are all approximately 45 minutes drive from the house.

Clonakilty Estate House is ideally located to explore all that West Cork has to offer including surfing, fishing, whale watching, wild swimming, kayaking, hiking, horse riding and sailing.

"Wonderful experience"
My family and I had the pleasure of staying in the orchard cottage for a couple of days in early September. The house was exceptionally clean and Kela was very welcoming and helpful, delighting us with tasty treats upon our arrival. Highly recommended.

"Absolutely amazing!"
We needed to find a spot to host a small family reunion on our recent trip to Ireland and Dunowen House proved to be the perfect choice. The house itself is stunning - beautifully designed but comfortable enough for little ones to run around in.
The surrounding countryside is lovely, with the beach right on the doorstep.
Kela and Stephen are excellent hosts, offering loads of suggestions and helpful hints, even providing us beach towels so our crazy Canadian family could take a January dip in the sea!
We were also happy we chose to have Kela and Stephen cater a 3 course birthday dinner for us onsite. The food was awesome, more than we could eat, with lots of choices for our vegan and vegetarians.
I really can’t say enough about the house, the area and our hosts at Dunowen. (If only I could give them more than 5 stars).
It really made our trip to Ireland magical - we’ll be back!

"True 5 Star"
We had a magnificent four nights here bringing in the New Year.
West Cork is a special place and Dunowen House is an exceptional property nestling in a beautiful location, beaches and walks all around.
The House was warm and cosy and was presented to us in an impeccable state, no detail overlooked. The photographs represent the house accurately.
Kela and Stephen are a warm and accommodating couple, always ready to facilitate and advise. There is a super local pub with a restaurant one minute from the house which is a good spot to start off an evening.
West Cork is famous for it fresh produce from the land and sea and I can not think of a better spot to enjoy it and indulge.
We highly recommend Dunowen House and we will return.
Thank you very much Kela and Stephen for a magnificent venue, we loved it.

"50th Birthday Party Weekend"
We had the most fantastic weekend at Dunowen house for my birthday. The rooms and bedrooms in the house are beautifully decorated and everyone had a lovely stay. All couples we able to relax in double rooms and we also rented out The Lodge on the grounds also, perfect for a mixture of friend/couples. There are two sitting rooms which work out great for a choice of quiet or party. An amazing venue !

"A wonderful experience"
Even before you step inside Dunowen house, its hard not to be blown away by the idyllic surroundings and peaceful atmosphere. The house is situated perfectly.
I had booked Dunowen for my sisters hen and upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely Kela who showed us around and made us feel very much at home. The house is beautifully decorated with some of us quoting 'interior goals'! There is also a sense of fun from the quirky artwork to the music memorabilia. Kela and Stephen prepared a beautiful dinner on the Saturday night with the desserts being a very big hit!
We had a fabulous weekend and have taken away some great memories. I would highly recommend!!
