"Fantastic!"
We stayed here for a short break at the end of August in Vue Foret, a beautiful apartment on the first floor at the front of the chateau.

In a beautiful setting and short drive to Saumur, this is the ideal base to explore the region.
The chateau has been beautifully restored and the grounds including a herb garden and swimming pool are the icing on the cake.
The nearby village is small, but there is a well stocked supermarket there or the larger Le Clerc hyper market which sells absolutely everything on the way to Saumur. Although Trip Advisor lists places to eat in Vernantes, they didn’t seem to be open whilst we were there, but luckily the apartment was very well equipped with everything you need to make a meal if you don’t venture out in the evening or do lot want to have to drive further afield. There is a handy welcome pack when you arrive, including some basic food items and use of a mobile phone if you want it.
Its a place to really relax, do your own thing and recharge your batteries and we would definitely return.

"Beautiful!"
Visited with 2 small kids and 5 adults (grandmother, uncle and aunt). We stayed in the tower next to the castle. It was excellent! Beautiful and relaxed. We could cook our own dinner, go for a swim in the pool and just enjoy the view of the castle.

"A Fabulous Chateau"
We stayed here for three nights and it was wonderful. The impression of the chateau as you drive through the gates is glorious. We had a beautiful room, Prince de Condé, which had windows on three walls so an amazing view over everything. It was a ginormous room with a cooking area with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge etc so perfect for our travels. A huge bed with very nice bed linen and a telly that had UK programmes, so the first episode of Bake Off wasn’t missed. The bathroom was huge with a good shower and a free standing bath and lovely black and white tiles. We used the swimming pool, wandered through the herb garden and picked a few ripe strawberries. Breakfast was so delicious, and so much of it, we weren’t quite sure where to start. This is a truly special place and we can’t wait to get back there.

"A beautifully restored Château"
My wife and I stayed here for three nights in Le Prince de Condé room. The bedrooms are beautifully restored to a high standard with luxurious bathrooms and extremely comfortable king size beds. The kitchenette is very well equipped to a high standard making self catering both practical and effortless.

Jenny and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The first morning we had an amazing breakfast delivered to our room which was particularly welcome

We didn’t want to leave!

"Amazing! Looking forward to our return!"
Amazing time at this Chateau! Wonderful accommodations and friendly staff! Met some incredible people during our stay. While they can accommodate up to 45 guests...we felt most times like we were the only guests there...and had the chateau to ourselves.

Convenient central location for discovering the Loire Valley. Easy driving. Convenient to Saumur. We looked forward to retuning to the chateau every night.

The chateau is more like an air bnb....so it’s not a hotel with daily maid service, restaurant and bar. You could request breakfast every morning if you want. They offer a lovely European style breakfast with homemade croissants and breads, meats and cheeses, cereals and fruits. Each suite had a kitchenette with everything to make your stay convenient. There’s a nearby grocery (Super U) in town so you could stock up on everything you need to make your stay personal. Also each suite offered its own washing/drying machine so you could actually do laundry.

It’s a no host location so it’s up to you to make it what you want. They offer the amazing location and suites to a wonderful experience. You provide the rest!

Rooms were comfortable and relaxing. Great size bathrooms. We stayed in a two bedroom/two bath suite. It was perfect for our family.

We are looking forward to our return! We didn’t want to leave!
