"Attended Wedding Reception"
Has to be one of the most beautiful settings for a wedding reception I have ever seen. The grounds are phenomenal. So beautiful. The food for our meal was delicious and was particularly impressed with the house wine. As a white drinker one of the fruitiest Sav Blanc I've ever drank. Perfect for a beautiful summer wedding. We had a lovely waiter serving our table, young girl Molly McCormac but she was very mature, attentive, light hearted, pleasant and not one thing asked that she wasn't helpful and kind about. Even when my partner is the most annoying person to wait on when Salmon is on the menu! Despite my sound advice as to ignore him she duely ran and found out all the answers my pedantic partner wanted to know about the Salmon. He's a proud Ballina man so it's to be expected! Thank you to Molly, the lovely woman at reception on check in (didn't get her name) but she duely took a call from another friend of ours who lost signal on their GPS and were totally lost finding their way from the church to the venue. She had then back on track in jig time. Anyone we encountered was lovely and the castle itself was beautiful.
We stayed in one of the 5 bed lodges down past the car park they too were fab fab fab! Really enjoyed our evening and night there.

I recently spent time here with my family; we had booked a spacious room in the castle/courtyard. It was lovely and the beds were especially comfortable. Everything was great especially the heart of the castle, where the main stairway towered three floors. The first floor is stunning: spending 4 hours in the drawing room reading really helped me get a feel for the place.
We have to appreciate these gems - thoroughly enjoyed it

Two couples stayed August 8 and 9. This was our second visit. We were here 2 years ago. The bar area and main dinning room have been renovated since our last visit.

How lucky, we were assigned the same lovely court yard room. Great poster bed and very roomy. If there is a chill in the air use the electric heater in the closet. Iron and board also in closet.

Dinner first night was in the bar as we had a very large lunch along the way. We reserved a seating in the main dinning room the second night. A great dinning experience. Good food and service.

We will stay again on our next visit, bring your golf clubs!
