The communal paddock shared with the neighbouring cottage has a green space and a climbing frame that children will love – but you'll also have a private patch where you can sip cocktails in the sunshine before firing up the barbecue and dining alfresco under the starry sky. Not much of a grillmaster? The stylishly blue kitchen is also well-stocked for cooking up delicious meals. After dinner, gather in the cosy sitting room for some laughter-filled conversation or retreat to the comfortable bedrooms for a good night's sleep.

With miles of trails and bridlepaths right on your doorstep, there are plenty of opportunities to venture out into the surrounding countryside for a long ramble with your canine friend. Or for a change of scenery, hop in the car and explore the chocolate-box Cotswolds villages – Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are less than an hour's drive away.
