Perched high above the sea in the village of Monticello in Upper Corsica, this elegant villa has everything you need for a quiet, coastal retreat. Inside, earthy tones mix with comfortable furniture that invites you to relax. We love the cosy living room, with leather sofas for you to kick back and watch a movie after a day enjoying all that this stretch of coastline has to offer. There’s no extravagance here, and there’s no attempt to distract from everything the outside space has to offer, which is something that really sets this villa apart.

Step out onto your sun-drenched terrace and you’re met with a sea so blue, it’s hard to tell where the sea ends and the sky begins. Your private pool welcomes you in for a refreshing dip and is somewhere you could easily while away the hours as the sun warms your skin. When dry land calls, settle down on a sun lounger with your holiday read and get lost in a story. In such a peaceful setting, all you’ll hear is the quiet song of the birds in the surrounding trees.

When you’re ready for a change of scenery, there are plenty of boutiques and local markets to peruse, perhaps picking up some delicious local produce to take home and rustle up a dinner to enjoy alfresco under the stars.

*There's private parking on-site for two cars, and an additional three spaces in the private car park nearby
*At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the second bedroom
*It's spread over two floors, with no internal lift
*For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground floor bedroom and bathroom in the main villa and also an outbuilding with independent access, with a bedroom and shower room
*The swimming pool is available for use from April until the end of October and isn't fenced (it is alarmed), so children will need to be supervised at all times
*Though there isn't a dedicated desk here, the dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace
*You'll have access to a 24-7 guest support service
