Luxury self-catering lodges set on the grounds of five-star Castlemartyr hotel and resort.

Located within the sanctuary of the historic walled gardens of the Castlemartyr estate, these luxury rentals offer supreme comfort in idyllic surroundings. The Castlemartyr residences are situated in a mature landscape with views of the surrounding parkland and golf course. One of the world's oldest trees, the 'Cork Tree', is also situated within the walled garden area.

Heron's Reach
Turning the corner, you are immediately captivated by the intricate beauty of the Estate's artist forged, wrought-iron gates. On entering, your senses become saturated with a deluge of sights and sounds transporting you back to another age. A serpentine river setting nestled amongst ancient woodlands, a unique canvas that once again forms the backdrop to a very different way of life...

The nine 3-bedroom houses have been specifically designed to do justice to their stunning surroundings with a contemporary design incorporating many natural elements, and with large windows framing the lush woodland views. With dining area suitable for six, an outdoor terrace with a tranquil forest setting, and a spacious open plan living area downstairs, cosily furnished, there is also a well-equipped modern kitchen for those who choose to cook for themselves.

The Walled Gardens Lodges
The Walled Garden Lodges are set in the grounds of the former orchards and greenhouses with many of the features still present. The area is also home to one of Munster's oldest trees, “The Cork Tree" located in the South West corner of the walls.

Laid out in two separate U-shaped areas in mature landscape with views of the golf course and the parkland, these spacious 2 and 3 bedroom contemporary lodges are flooded with natural light and surrounded by peace and quiet. Wooden floored and stylishly furnished to the highest standards and specification, each Walled Garden lodge has bright and spacious open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, lavish decks overlooking the grounds, and car parking directly outside each lodge.

The Mews Houses
The Mews Houses are located in the grounds of the 12th century castle which still looms high overhead today. Past residents include Earl Richard de Clare, also known as Strongbow and Sir Walter Raleigh.

Our 2 & 3 bedroom houses are equipped with all modern convenience. All Mews houses have a bedroom downstairs and each has an individual layout some with original wooden beams.

The Lodge was fantastic, modern and spacious, and set in a beautiful location, with lovely places to walk and cycle and it was a plus that we were allowed to bring our dog.

"Superb in every way"
Our family just had an unforgettable, glorious week in Mews Unit 10 of the Castlemartyr Resort. It is a two bedroom, two bath ground floor apartment surrounded by a 12th century castle. No joke! Its a stunning site - especially at night. The unit was perfect - with an ample living room/kitchen?TV, bedrooms separated for privacy, and an outdoor terrace which was totally private. The kitchen is a beauty with everything you would need. Best of all, we had access to everything in the Resort, including the two great restaurants, the fabulous Knights' Bar (stunning), the swimming pool, the fitness center, sauna, steam bath, etc.etc etc. The swimming pool is indoors, and huge: a stunning piece of architecture. The fitness center is equally large and well-outfitted. And both the pool and the fitness center look through glass walls. at the Resort grounds. The Master has an ensuite bath, a King Bed, and TV. Small but perfect. The second BR accesses a bath down the hall. It can easily house one person, or two people who can fit into a smallish bed (our 14 year old girls found it perfect). The Mews are a three minute walk from the Resort proper, through an herb garden, and they are a ten minute walk to Castelmartyr village, which is great - really cute and functional. It was so great to walk back to the Mews at the end of every evening. The holiday felt like a private apartment serviced by a grand hotel. Which is exactly what it was.
