The Lodge was fantastic, modern and spacious, and set in a beautiful location, with lovely places to walk and cycle and it was a plus that we were allowed to bring our dog.

"Superb in every way"
Our family just had an unforgettable, glorious week in Mews Unit 10 of the Castlemartyr Resort. It is a two bedroom, two bath ground floor apartment surrounded by a 12th century castle. No joke! Its a stunning site - especially at night. The unit was perfect - with an ample living room/kitchen?TV, bedrooms separated for privacy, and an outdoor terrace which was totally private. The kitchen is a beauty with everything you would need. Best of all, we had access to everything in the Resort, including the two great restaurants, the fabulous Knights' Bar (stunning), the swimming pool, the fitness center, sauna, steam bath, etc.etc etc. The swimming pool is indoors, and huge: a stunning piece of architecture. The fitness center is equally large and well-outfitted. And both the pool and the fitness center look through glass walls. at the Resort grounds. The Master has an ensuite bath, a King Bed, and TV. Small but perfect. The second BR accesses a bath down the hall. It can easily house one person, or two people who can fit into a smallish bed (our 14 year old girls found it perfect). The Mews are a three minute walk from the Resort proper, through an herb garden, and they are a ten minute walk to Castelmartyr village, which is great - really cute and functional. It was so great to walk back to the Mews at the end of every evening. The holiday felt like a private apartment serviced by a grand hotel. Which is exactly what it was.
