"Incredible Stay at Ballynahinch"
From the moment we stepped out of the car in the grounds of Ballynahinch, we knew we we're in for a special weekend. Eoin, the General Manager of the hotel warmly greeted us upon arrival and all Covid measures we're clearly in place including temp check/plenty of space between tables. The room we were appointed was exceptional to say the least with a 4 poster bed and french doors looking out to the river.
The experience at Ballynahinch is most definitely a 5* one (only reason they don't have this rating is probably due to no leisure centre) & the walks on offer in the grounds are incredible.
If you are visiting Connemara, a stay in Ballynahinch is a must!

"Beautiful Ballynahinch"
Spent 2 nights here and can’t wait to return. If your interested in great food, scenery and relaxation this should be on the ‘to do list’. Not to mention the art collection, open fires and great staff. Had one of the best breakfasts on our tour around the West. The place is a gem.

Ballynahinch Castle Hotel is a wonderful hideout in the West of Ireland

Our room on the riverside had every amenity one could wish for, little touches like a welcome note , some canapés, water and up to date magazines. The bar has not changed in its lifetime , open log fire and a great pint of Guinness after our long journey.

Three dinners all varied menu’s and an excellent restaurant manager in Philippe who knows his wines. Breakfast has as its signature dish a Baked Ham for self service and freshly baked Brown Bread
It’s a terrific repast

We were in a stress free zone even though the weather outside was horrendous. The hotel has new management in place who have brought their own style to bear on the operation

The garden is much improved and extra riverside walks are now added. WiFi works but bring your books - it’s that sort of place - read , sleep, wake up, read again and that’s in front of the log fires @ the Lounges

Staff are really friendly, knowledgeable, and intent on giving a great service. We are back in Dublin but memories of our visit will linger for another while...

Extraordinary Experience
This is one of the few places I have stayed where it pains me to only be able to give 5 stars. Truly every aspect of our stay here was unparalleled. The room was perfect, the common areas were elegant, the onsite restaurant and pub were both exquisite (even accommodating my husband with a multi-course vegan menu), breakfast was sumptuous, the grounds enchanting, and the staff— so very knowledgeable and helpful ( Killian, thank you for your recommendations). I cannot imagine anyone staying here and being the slightest bExtraordinary Experience

An amazing spacious luxurious house that catered for our every need in a picturesque setting.
The location is excellent adjacent to the hotel. The breakfast was delicious in the hotel, with a great variety of dishes. The baked ham on the buffet was a welcome addition. The view from the restaurant was breathtaking and the hotel has a wonderful collection of paintings.
