“Modern Luxury in the Heart of London”
Loved this hotel in every aspect of it. Luxury, convenience and fabulous service all combined into one. We stayed here for 4 nights for a wedding Labor Day weekend and it was fantastic. It is very modern and clean. There is a Nobu in the hotel, which you can't beat fr dining options. They have an evening turn-down service, a nice plus that many hotels do not offer. They give you complimentary water bottles daily and have a Nespresso maker and even an electric tea kettle in the rooms. The location was perfect, near the coveted Park Lane and Hyde Park. We were able to walk to Hyde Park and to Oxford Circus for some shopping and to several other areas. It has the upscale feel and location and the remarkable service but does not feel as overpriced and "stuffy" as the nearby high end hotels (Four Seasons, The Dorchester etc). We loved eevrything but I have to say I cannot stop raving about the service. It was outstanding and to top it off, the most amazing part of this entire thing was the breakfast. Our breakfast was included but they were so flexible, giving us so many options and choices. It was no standard English continental breakfast. We had several courses of things such as quinoa and pear porridge, eggs Benedict, with fresh smoothies and they even personalized it to each of our tastes and requests. To add to the glory they even accommodated the timings to our individual schedule, for when we would wake up (which would be quite late after the various wedding festivities and events each night getting later and later). This was no danish and toast and fruit plain breakfast that you would find at most American hotels, even the luxury ones. Sweety, the hostess of the restaurant and possibly a manger, was amazing. Her smile and service was phenomenal. If every hotel had someone like her to represent them it would be a joy.She welcomed us daily and gave us suggestions and tailored the breakfast to our requests and all with a smile. Hats off to that chef as well because we liked our breakfast there better than many of the restaurants we tried, including Claridge's, which is probably the most high-end tea parlor in London. The concierge was fantastic as well, and accommodated all of our dining and personal requests with top speed. All in all, a wonderful stay which was pretty much perfect. The only possible thing I could really comment on that was a bit less than perfect was we did not have a great view, but to be honest, we were hardly there in the day so we were not missing out. A must-stay hotel in London.
