Signature Suites
Balcony Suites Balcony suites are among the most desirable at Cliff House Hotel. With a separate living area and bedroom, the space here is plentiful. Deep sofas and armchairs sit in front of the flickering fireplace, and flat-screen TVs are on the walls of both rooms. Generously proportioned with super king-size beds, the suites feature wingback armchairs covered in Donegal tweeds. With their glass-sided balconies — one off the living area, the second off the bedroom —the balcony suites make the most of this spectacular cliffside perch. These large suites blend ocean with tradition — blue furnishings mirror the water below, whilst Irish authenticity is reflected in handwoven tweed blankets and artisan-made wall hangings.
Terrace Suites Located on the second, third and fourth floors, most of our Terrace Suites can be interconnected with our Deluxe Terrace rooms, making them an ideal choice for families who need the extra space. We also have one three-bed Terrace Suite. Rooms are elegantly decorated, with statement artwork on the walls, large, flat-screen TVs and fireplaces in both the bedroom and living area, and plump, soft sofas and armchairs. Each suite is complete with a private ocean-facing terrace, ensuring peace and seclusion as you gaze out across the bay. Tables and chairs allow you to sit or dine outside, with sightings of dolphins a possibility.
Cliff Veranda Suites Upstairs, the bedroom is defined by the dramatic cliffside location. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open onto a large private veranda, with ocean views that can be enjoyed from the comfortable sun loungers. Beds are draped in crisp white linen, with Cliff House Hotel’s Irish authenticity reflected in the warm handwoven tweed blankets and artisan-made wall-hangings. The living area on the ground floor is accented with statement pieces from our collection of original 18th-century campaign furniture, with deep sofas that sit in front of the flat-screen TV.
We had the first night of our honeymoon here it was amazing, the staff couldn't be more helpful. The food was delicious. The special little touches for our honeymoon were lovely they had a bottle of bubbly delivered to our room and when we went for dinner we came back to the room they had rose petals on the bed. Thanks so much we'll be back again soon.

Amazing experience from beginning to end. Tasteful decoration all over, spacious and beautiful rooms, lovely dinner, cocktails and breakfast, we were well taken care of by all staff members. Spa, massage and peat bath were also a treat. Will come back.

An excellent relaxing weekend away. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Eating at the House restaurant was an amazing experience made all the better by the staff. Waking up to the sea view and and sunshine on the terrace balcony was a highlight and as was being able to walk down the cliff for an early morning swim.

I don’t even know where to start... This hotel is everything I could have ever dreamed of + more. My fiancé and I got engaged that morning and he took me to Cliff House as a surprise that night as a treat.. From the moment we walked in the door we were treated so so well. All the staff from the porters, to receptionists and restaurant staff were so attentive and looked after us so well. Then our room, we started in room 50 just off reception with the most beautiful balcony and view. It was truly magical. It was so comfortable and elegant! I could go on and on and on about this hotel but just one last note; we will be back next year to stay again on our one year anniversary of being engaged! We can’t wait

Without a doubt the best hotel we have ever visited. We visited about 20 hotels this year with our staycation and without a doubt this has been the best, it was so good we had to go back a second time within a month!! The location is one of the best you can find in Ireland in even on a winters day it’s amazing. The spa is second to none and also the pool. And the staff are second to none honestly I can’t praise them enough.

Fabulous holiday! What a fantastic property! Rooms were spacious with views for days. The food in this hotel was best in Ireland. The posh restaurant was out of this world, and the "bar" food was more than memorable. Best fish dish ever. I especially enjoyed the service of a local beautician, Mary Elizabeth, who came to the hotel for services. A true luxurious experience

"Five star experience" Five star experience from the minute we arrived. Complementary upgrade to one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in with the most breathtaking views. Brilliant spa experience followed by a delicious meal in the bar restaurant. We will definitely be back and have already recommended to many people. Many thanks.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Cliff House Hotel. Our room/house was beautiful, comfortable and warm. We enjoyed the Cliff Walk and the view from the balcony from our room. The pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub were divine. Staff were friendly and very helpful in all areas of the hotel. Very quaint and relaxing break.

Excellent hotel in a fabulous location.
Service was top notch, efficient and friendly without being stuffy.
Room overlooking ocean was amazing and the design ensures that every room and balcony is very private. I loved the Irish tweed throw which was lovely to snuggle under while sitting in the armchair reading my book, looking out to sea.
I’d highly recommend doing The Cliff Walk which takes in St. Declan’s Well, Samson Shipwreck and the Round-tower and Monastery in Ardmore. We were lucky with the weather but this would be lovely in any weather. Use the complimentary wellies provided by the hotel as parts are a little muddy if you don’t have appropriate foot ware with you.
We dined in the bar for lunch and evening meals and in the restaurant for breakfast. Both were well designed and food was very good. I loved the Baked Hake with lemon mash. My hasband was a little underwhelmed by The Full Irish Breakfast, in particular the sausage.
The Wellness area is also very well designed, ensuring every area overlooks the sea. I prefer light and airy spa facilities as you can see how clean the facility is. This was spotless! Would highly recommend spending time here- the pool, sauna, steam room and outdoor jacuzzi are all complimentary as part of your stay. I didn’t venture to the gym area so cannot comment on this. I enjoyed the two treatments I went for, seaweed bath and a package that involved back scrub, back massage, facial, head message and manicure. This was two hours of Pure Bliss. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable and very relaxing stay. Was it expensive? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes.
