Marriott Hanbury Manor: Please share your stay experience
With a beautiful room overlooking parkland our stay was superb, on arrival we were greeted at the door by most helpful staff, later in our stay we were a little lost, a member of staff in chef's whites asked if he could help then proceeded take to our rendezvous point, nothing was too much trouble, food was of a very high standard and the gardens were just amazing.
We stayed here for the weekend to celebrate our parents' 90th birthdays. We had a very good time, the staff were very attentive and we had some really good meals in Oakes Grill - including an excellent Sunday Lunch.
We spent the weekend at the beautiful Hanbury Manor as a treat for myself and my husband. The grounds are beautiful and the hotel very impressive from the outside. I was unsure of what to expect having read some of the reviews beforehand. Thankfully we were very taken with the atmosphere and the excellent, cheery and professional members of staff. They looked after us so well and nothing was too much trouble. I can understand how some people would say that the interior needs updating, however we found it charming and very beautiful, bearing in mind that the main part of the hotel is very old.
We ate in the grill bar both nights, the service and food were both excellent and we enjoyed the atmosphere very much. We also relaxed in the main lounge area where afternoon tea was taking place. It looked so impressive that we decided to have a pot of tea and asked to sample some of the tiny cakes. We were offered a plate with a selection of the mouthwatering, delicate cakes which happened to be absolutely scrumptious...YUM! We would highly recommend them!
We spent time in the spa and each had a massage which was excellent and very relaxing. This contributed to our enjoyment of the whole weekend.
Thank you Hanbury Manor! We will be back!
