"Fantastic" We stayed here a number of years ago and loved it. We always said we'd go back and for our birthdays this year managed to get there for a night. We were unbelievably upgraded to the suite which just made the experience so memorable. The room and balcony was fantastic. We couldn't get over it, place was so big and comfortable. We had dinner in the Pullman restraunt which I highly recommend. Food was delicious and staff were lovely. The train is a great experience and the whole dinner felt so private. Overall the staff went above and beyond and we could not fault the hotel in any way. We will absolutely be back in another few years! Thanks to you all for everything.

"Awesome, awesome awesome" I was sooooo excited to stay here and I was not disappointed. The place is a dream, a perfect setting for an Agatha Christie. Roaring fire in reception and great reception staff made for a warm welcome. The room was spacious, comfortable and bathroom clean and well stocked with L'Occitane. Spent a wonderful evening in the Pullman restaurant, two original carriages from the Orient Express. What an experience, we just needed poirot! We were well looked after by knowledgeable and pleasant staff and the food was delicious. The plum crumble desert was to die for. The following morning saw an extensive breakfast buffet selection in addition to a great hot menu. Be sure to check out the billiard room and the cinema room. Exquisite! We rounded our stay off with Falconry from Jason at Apex Falconry. Very knowledgeable and fun experience. I would highly recommend it all. Can't wait to return.

"Elegant Hotel With Beautiful Surroundings" Old fashioned beauty, luxury and full of charm. The decor was opulent and comfortable. A great nights sleep in comfort and quietness. Stay an extra day if you can to enjoy the surroundings at Glenlo and the activities that are available.

"Lovely, Relaxing Place to Stay - Do the Falconry Excursion!!!" Lovely castle/hotel about 3 miles from the Galway city center. A few friends and I stayed there for a night before our return to Dublin, and it was a great experience. The hotel itself as well as its grounds are lovely. It's definitely more of a hotel than a traditional castle, but regardless the whole ambiance is truly something special. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful, although not overly friendly. The rooms were large, comfortable, and had a fantastic view. My husband enjoyed the driving range, and we all enjoyed sitting outside drinking wine on the porch (we were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather for our stay). However, the highlight of our trip was our falconry excursion with Jason. I highly recommend it! It was such a fun, educational, amazing experience to see the birds (owls, hawks, and falcons!) up close. My friends and I can't stop talking about it! Overall, I would definitely recommend a night at Glenlo Abbey if you're looking for quiet, relaxing experience away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Galway.

The hotel, which is situated a little outside city centre, provides for total relaxation. The entire staff is very friendly, views are superb, food excellent. Huge room. In short this hotel is an oasis of serenity.
