5-Star Glenlo Abbey Hotel and golf club is majestically located on the outskirts of Galway City, at the gateway to Connemara, Ireland's most scenic destination. Emerging from the still waters of Lough Corrib and dating back to the 18th Century, the 5-star Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate is where old-world charm meets contemporary elegance.
The hotel features 50 Bedrooms and Suites designed with an emphasis on general space and comfort and a taste of old-world charm. Its fine dining and entertainment options cater for both formal and informal occasions.
The hotel's grounds host two original carriages from the Orient Express. Dating from 1927, these carriages served on the Paris to Istanbul to St. Petersburg route; one of the pair was used in the making of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express. Today serving as the Pullman Restaurant, the carriages offer a unique dining experience.

We have just had a short break at the Glenlo and it has been from start to finish the most fabulous experience. All the staff from the front door to the house keepers are so professional and helpful. The attention to detail through out the hotel is second to none.

We had one of the the best hotel stays I've experienced. The rooms were beautifully decorated with a feeling of calm & luxury. Service was outstanding - the team in the hotel predicted and attended to all of our needs while being respectful of our time. Food and wine options were tailored to suit the needs of our party and were thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend a treat of Afternoon Team. Make time to wander the stunning grounds and take in the relaxing views of Lough Corrib. Glenlo Abbey is a true escape. We can't wait to return again!

Old World charm in Galway We had the pleasure of staying at Glenlo Abbey in Galway this month. The staff are courteous and efficient, the grounds are beautiful, the manor house itself is very lovely. It’s a really elegant, well done hotel. Our stay was too short, but we will definitely be back!

"Beyond Romantic!" Our experience was just lovely! The hotel and room was just beautiful with a view of the golf course and lake. The staff and service was impeccable and always smiling. The breakfast delicious in a gorgeous setting. The only very slight disappointment was the Pullman dining menu which was a little too eclectic and off the wall gourmet for us. The service was good though. Also be sure to watch a movie in the theater room. Would stay here again in heartbeat!
