Relaxing break I visited the hotel on the may bank holiday with my mother and sister as it was my birthday and I cannot fault the hotel in the slightest. The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to cater to every need of their guests. It was a busy weekend as there was a concert on and it was hard to find a taxi, the one we had booked canceled and the concierge went out of their way to arrange a lift for us into Cobh. Breakfast was beautiful with a huge selection of foods. Bedrooms were so clean spacious and comfortable. We loved every minute of our stay and we didnt want to leave. Cannot recommend the spa and thermal suite enough. The staff are amazing at their jobs in the spa and leisure centre and help you out as much as they could. Have to mention the lovely man that that greeted us at the door. His name was Sean and he was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Overall a great stay and I can't wait to go back there.

"Great hotel for a short break" Fota Island hotel is a great spot, sited on the island and with lovely grounds to walk around. The staff are superb, helpful and always with a smile. We were visiting for a birthday celebration, and they were kind enough to upgrade our room and leave us some chocolates in the room which was a very nice touch. Breakfast was delicious, and beautifully served with the added delight of fresh honeycomb! It was an easy drive into Cork, Cobh or the coast, and a short distance form the airport. Highly recommended!

"Great Experience" What a great experience! We recently stayed for two nights at the hotel in Fota Island Resort and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Right from arrival we found all of the staff to be exceptionally friendly, courteous, attentive and very professional. Everything we asked for was provided instantly and all-round the service was excellent. The hotel itself is also a wonderful place. This was our first time to stay here and this hotel has a great atmosphere and always seems to be relaxing and manages to feel homely even though it is a busy hotel. The grounds and location are superb although regrettably we didn’t get much opportunity to enjoy them because of the poor weather during our stay. Food and wines are excellent and the atmosphere in the informal bar and indeed the main restaurant is just ideal. The facilities in Fota Island Resort are second to none offering a very comprehensive range. Overall it’s a great place to go for a short relaxing break to spoil yourself and your partner. Frankly I could not find fault with any aspect so I would recommend Fota Island Resort without hesitation. The thing that makes this hotel stand out is the friendliness of the staff and their positive helpful attitude that we experienced right across every single staff member that we met. It is rare to find this in all staff in any hotel or restaurant but this was without doubt the best aspect of the visit. Cant wait to go back!!

"Thoroughly enjoyed my stay" Absolutely loved the Hotel. Found the staff so friendly and obliging. They were so good with my little 2 year old grand-child and the teddy bear "Bea" waiting for us on arrival just made our stay and hers. I had an Indian Head massage which was really good and I loved the facilities both before and after the massage. The Hydrotherapy area is beautiful and the swimming pool equally so. Only slight negative is that I felt the staff were under a lot of pressure as it was busy. They handled it very well but could have done with a bit more help. At breakfast on both days there was a young lady cooking eggs in the corner of the dining room and she had a queue of orders. I would think it would be better if requests for omelettes were looked after in the kitchen. I gave my order but then went back up a few minutes later and cancelled it as it would have taken too long. This was just one small matter during a very enjoyable stay. Would definitely go back again.
