"A place to remember"
Far outside Cork, there is a little town called Castlemartyr. Its very pastiche, but houses a golf course on the grounds of the hotel.
It feels like a club house driving up to, but offers nice walks and controlled traffic and is good for both resting as exercise.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is spotless.
For the rooms, they are very good size and very luxurious, electronic controls from the bedside table for all objects in the room, lighting, curtains and anything you need manipulating. The beds are comfortable and very good.
The breakfast is served in a dining hall with good views and comfortable chairs.
This hotel is well worth a stay when travelling around cork, but as with many places around cork, having a car is a requirement.
