Brown's Hotel: London

Made up of 11 Georgian townhouses, Five-Star Brown’s has a rich and intriguing history and was London’s first ever hotel, opening its doors in 1837 under the watchful eye of Lady Byron’s maid, Sarah — and her husband, James Brown.

Distinguished guests have included presidents royalty and writers including Agatha Christie, whose 1965 thriller, At Bertram’s Hotel, was inspired by this stunning property.

Brown’s Hotel is home to 117 luxurious bedrooms and suites. Each has been decorated using a variety of soft colour schemes with natural materials and a distinctive mix of old and new to reflect refined English charm.

Special attention has been given to the small details that make a difference, including a selection of books and original artwork.

Dining and Bar
Brown’s Hotel is home to the outstanding restaurant, HIX Mayfair, which serves the finest British seasonal cuisine throughout the day. The English Tea Room is famous for its award-winning Afternoon Tea. The Donovan Bar is London’s fashionable meeting place with live music offered Monday to Saturday.

“Outstanding comfort in the centre of Mayfair”

A remarkable hotel with 175 years history just a few steps from Bond Street with its boutiques and shops. The best afternoon tea in London. A very professional Concierge who can help with organising tickets for any evening performance and advise many interesting things to do and to see.
