The Stables 2 bedroom courtyard cottage, sleeps max 4 adults Ground floor accommodation: separate fully fitted kitchen, Living room with wood burning stove. Shower and w.c. Upstairs: 2 double bedroom one with an ensuite shower and w.c. Small private garden to the rear of the cottage. Note this cottage does not have a bath. At present no Wi-Fi due to it’s location.

I am very happy to recommend The Old Deanery in Ferns to anyone looking for a break away from the norm, especially in these difficult Covid-19 times. I have just returned from a most enjoyable hen party at the venue and cannot imagine anywhere more suitable or more fun. From start to finish we found the accommodation and facilities to be excellent. The present, but never intrusive, owners were available whenever we had a query and really made every effort to ensure that the weekend was a success. The accommodation was lovely – plenty of room to keep socially distant – and charming and it was obvious that the cleaning crew take great pride in their work. The facilities outside were ‘magic’ – lots of little nooks and a central courtyard which allowed for gatherings and craic. There was also a large dining room (owners recommended an excellent caterer for us) and an outside covered area as well. The beautiful grounds provided the ideal showcase for our outdoor games and a yoga class (again organised through the owners of the property) was much enjoyed. Various add-ons can be organised for visitors and the cocktail reception on our first night got us off to a great start. A menu of available packages will ensure that everyone finds something they enjoy. We had complete freedom to make the most of this fantastic venue and although it’s really so good that I’d like to keep it to myself I really do feel I should share the joy and let others know about this ‘little gem’ in Wexford. From ’clan gatherings’, to hen parties, to re-unions . . . any event will be made all the more special at The Old Deanery.
