Luxury group self-catering set on 5-star golf & spa resort

Nestled in the grounds of the scenic Fota Island Resort, these luxury 5-star villas are just six miles from Cork city.

Fota Island, which is linked by a causeway, is home of Ireland’s only wildlife park, Fota House and gardens. The resort is set within a 780-acre wooded country estate, brimming with wildlife and lush gardens.

Fota Island Spa features an indoor heated swimming pool and fitness suite, complimentary to all lodge residents. The resort also has its own 27-hole championship golf course.

All lodges have well-equipped kitchens and multi-channel televisions both in the living area and in each bedroom. Each lodge is internet enabled, and the internal telephone system allows access to the resort’s amenities and services.

The lodges are available throughout the year for short and long-term rentals. Short term lets vary from two to seven nights, with low, mid and high season rates throughout the year. There is a minimum of three night stays during bank holiday dates and seven nights stays in July and August (Saturday arrivals).

Definitely not 5 star, very disappointing

"Wedding stay"
We had a family wedding recently in Fota Island. I couldn't recommend the place enough. The staff, food, rooms and facilities were everything you could hope for. Probably the most comfortable bed and pillows I've experienced in a hotel. The breakfast was amazing, freshly and beautiful cooked and a great variety on the menu. Will definitely be going back again!

I just want to say how accommodating and helpful the staff are in Fota. I was due to stay for one night 13/03 for the start of my hen party with just my mother, sister's and 3 close friends. We had an amazing day and night enjoying treatments in the spa and afternoon tea. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, I had to cancel the main part of the hen party with the rest of my friends which was to take place in Kilkenny. We decided to make the best of a bad situation and stay another night in Fota. The staff were so attentive and friendly and helpful, they went above and beyond to help us salvage what was left of our weekend and gave us a very generous deal on our rooms for the second night. "Excellent place"
I and my partner really enjoyed our stay at the Fota Island resort hotel. The place cannot be faulted and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay here to go ahead and book it. You wont be disappointed.

"Ideal mid-term break"
I visited Fota Island Resort with my 3 and a half year old over February Midterm. We had the most amazing stay from start to finish. The service was excellent, staff made a real effort with children and everything was very safe. As it was a busy time for families you had to book your pool times to avoid overcrowding which ensured maximum enjoyment. Our room was fabulous and spacious. Carmel the manager was most accommodating, taking care of any little requests we had. She couldn't have been more helpful. I will definitely be back.
