"Newly renovated property in Connemara" "We had the most fabulous time staying in this beautiful home with a group of London friends on their first trip to Ireland. Lorna greeted us on arrival and left us a lovely breakfast parcel. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook breakfast for 14 people as well as a Sunday roast. Although we had issues with hot water on our first day, this was quickly resolved and Lorna was happy for us to contact us at any time with questions/ concerns. Hoping to visit again and will definitely recommend :) Thanks again for a wonderful stay!"

A magical journey in time, the Ireland you came to see. We arrived at the ferry landing to meet Lorna and her daughter and pick up the keys to our residence for the week and were immediately charmed by our hosts. They left us well set with a lovely array of staples and treats to stave off any hunger til we could find the local grocery and pubs. We were perfectly located for a trip to the Aarans as well as a visit to cong, Ashford castle, round stone, Clifden and the scenic coast road to Galway. We felt as if we were in our own family home, loved meeting the friendly donkeys and long for a return trip.

Quite simply the best self-catering experience we have ever had. We do enjoy the finer things in life and your Edwardian Lodge ticked all the boxes. The exquisite accommodation and superb facilities and housekeeping made this one our most memorable stays anywhere. I would highly recommend a car as there are so many places to visit, while within easy reach the public bus service in Connemara is very limited. We would not consider any other rental than this when we return to Galway.
