Connemara Beach House: Galway

Spacious holiday home in an exceptional setting for parties of up to 16 guests. Welcome to your private beach, less than 100 steps from your front Connemara Beach House Bay Window and Sunset-door.

looks out over an azure bay to the grassy headlands of Omey Island; Crow Island lies beyond and then only the endless waves of the Atlantic stretching out westward to the Americas. The sunsets at this Connemara Beach House are heavenly.

Enormous windows bring these seaside views right into your home—whether in the bright communal dining room, bedrooms, or relaxing beside the turf fire in either of the two sitting rooms.

West Connemara offers some of the most spectacular landscapes and seascapes in the world. Natural beauty and peaceful solitude draw many to visit for a week or two at Connemara Beach House, yet the bustling music pubs, shops and restaurants of Clifden Town lie only a 15 minute drive past the moody peaks of the 12 Ben Mountains.

"Perfect place to experience everything Ireland has to offer"
I was lucky enough to spend a weekend in late August with some of my closest friends in this amazing property.

The hosts had stocked the place with amenities, left instructions for the property and also plenty of "What's On" and other Tourist Information leaflets for us.

This included tide times, which was important for reaching a nearby island - I thought this was an especially nice touch.

The property itself was very clean and perfectly suitable for large groups. The kitchen had 2 ovens and a dishwasher so cooking for a large group like ours was very easy. Almost all rooms were ensuite as well so there was no fighting over showers.

They also had a BBQ, which we put to good use.

Above all the rest, however, was the location. The front door opened straight onto the beach and the views were breathtaking (see picture).

I would 100% recommend for anyone with a large group looking to experience real Ireland and all its charms.

"Wonderful Stay"

We rent the house with friends to spend the New Year in the Connemara. The house is wonderful, the view on the see is amazing. Neighbors are far from the house, so it seems that you are alone at the end of the world...

There are 8 bedrooms with a bathroom for each of them. The living rooms are really pleasant with the view on the see.

The owner of the house is very nice, gave good recommendation on pubs, shops... There is a book with all recommendations which is really helpful.

The closest "big" city from the house is Clifden (10 minutes drive), you can find everything. Really good and nice Irish pubs (The Mannion's bar and the Lowry's) where you can listen some good Irish music.

A very nice place to go is the tidal Omey Island, just on the opposite bank of the house. You can only go there at low tide, you cross a large sandy strand by walk (or car if you want).

So great house, great place to stay in Connemara, great holidays!
