"Mums 70th Birthday family get away" I can’t say enough about Bansha Castle and how wonderful our stay was. We were there over a weekend for my Mums 70th Birthday. I was looking for a house to accommodate 19 of us with a wide range of ages from 1yr to 74yrs and teenagers. The house was so amazing with so much space amazingly child friendly with so much room for the kids to run around. Gorgeous bedrooms big enough to accommodate us all and the various sleeping arrangements with no one feeling anyway over crowded and you don’t hear a thing with the thick walls. The house is so cozy, warm and relaxing it was just brilliant and exactly what we were looking for in a family get away but loads of room so we weren’t on top of each other. John and Teresa are just brilliant. Thanks so much for letting us stay in your wonderful home it’s amazing and I would highly recommend it for any occasion.

A fantastic group celebration over New Years Teresa and John were fantastic hosts with great communication during the enquiry, booking and invoicing stages. They are based on the property and were available throughout our stay to offer any help when needed, including when we ran out of kindling for the fire! This property is a true country gem and a perfect place for our large group to descend on to celebrate the new year together. Wishing them and Bansha Castle a very happy and prosperous 2020.

Family get together Spent fabulous Bank Holiday weekend with family, 17 in total ,9 kids and 8 adults. Kids had an absolute ball, running around in beautiful safe surrounding grounds. Fantastic BBQ facilities which we used on one of the nights. The other night we had John and Teresa catered for us to have a surprise 80th party for our Dad. The food and beautiful dinning room was an event long to be remembered by us all. We all had an amazing weekend and cannot wait to return.

"Perfect location for a family reunion" We recently spent a week at Bansha Castle--"we" being a group of 14 cousins including spouses--and folks are still talking about the wonderful time we had. Our hosts, Teresa and John Russell, were genial and welcoming. The meals they prepared were delicious and served in an elegant dining room. Teresa's restaurant recommendations for the remaining evenings were excellent as well. We hired a small bus from Aherlow Tours to take us on excursions, which I would also recommend..The castle, located in a tranquil, park-like setting, was both lovely and comfy. Indeed, it soon felt like home. All in all, a perfect week. We were delighted with our choice of Bansha Castle. Highest praise!

"Expect the royal treatment at Bansha Castle" My cousins could not have asked for more comfortable, welcoming or beautiful accommodations for a family reunion. Being together in one grand home suited us perfectly, whether gathered around the rustic table in the well equipped kitchen, sprawled across sofas in the comfortable sitting room, enjoying the surrounding gardens on the lovely back terrace, or dining formally in the elegant dining room. Our hosts John and Teresa welcomed us graciously and also prepared two fantastic dinners for us during our stay, as well as made excellent recommendations for local sights and restaurants. The grounds and nearby countryside are breathtakingly beautiful. If you have the opportunity to stay here, don’t pass it up! It will be memorable.
