Ballilogue Stone Hamlet: Kilkenny

Group accommodation self-catering in Kilkenny

'Think of Ballilogue as a luxury retreat, small enough for a getaway with friends, but big enough for a family reunion, a wedding, a yoga retreat or even a corporate retreat, given that it's only 90 minutes from Dublin Airport. It's typically rented out to one group at a time, ensuring privacy'.
Everett Potter, New York Travel Writer for Forbes Magazine

Ballilogue is located in Ireland’s beautiful south Kilkenny countryside close to the pretty village of Inistioge, near the bustling market town of New Ross and Waterford City. A private oasis of calm and elegance, it’s renovated Irish stone houses, beautiful gardens & stylish contemporary spaces are light filled, architecturally designed interiors. The lovingly restored stone buildings date back to the 1700’s and Ballilogue provides the perfect intimate, private setting for family gatherings, corporate events and celebrations, catering for up to 30 guests at the Old Dairy or for larger gatherings up to 80 guests with the addition of a bespoke marquee on site. In addition, 22 guests can share the luxury accommodation & double height living spaces at Ballilogue in the three modernist houses with 11 beautiful bedrooms using voya organic toiletries & beautiful Egyptian cotton bed linen. Additional guest accommodation close by can be recommended.
The five star Ballilogue Stone Hamlet can be exclusively hired for an intimate wedding, exclusive family event, friends get-together, a corporate gathering or a group retreat. Private dining and entertainment can be arranged and are an integral part of the Ballilogue experience. The beauty and uniqueness of Ballilogue lies in it's rural, tranquil setting, it's rich history as a preserved Clochán or Irish stone hamlet and the restoration that has honoured it's past as well as embracing good design and craftsmanship.
Ballilogue is an award-winning destination having won numerous accolades and recommendations over the years.
A two night minimum stay is required at Ballilogue, additional fees apply for cleaning and the hire of The Old Dairy Dining Hall.

'I HIT GOLD WHEN I DISCOVERED BALLILOGUE' I was tasked with finding somewhere to host a celebration of my parents golden wedding anniversary that would be suitable for all of our family (15 in total) ranging in age from 1 to 73.... I hit gold when I discovered Ballilogue! From my first enquiry until we left the property on a sunny Sunday morning the service was second to none. the creative team patiently answered all of my questions and were extremely helpful with suggestions to help make our weekend as special as possible. This included the option to have caterers to come in just for us and provide a celebration dinner on the Saturday night in the Old Dairy building and the Shed bar, and it was amazing. The setting, food and the lovely caterers Trish and Eamon were all fantastic and really made the night feel special. The houses, grounds and location are beautiful, it is obvious that great care has been taken to design and style the properties and that attention to detail is very important to the owners. They have thought of everything. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds and pillows were! The lovely and friendly Annie met us when we arrived and was so obliging and helpful. Annie came back on the Saturday afternoon to open up Mrs Meaney’s Cottage and well worth the look, the kids loved it! I could not recommend Ballilogue highly enough for any kind of a stay but it is particularly perfect for a group gathering of any kind. I hope we get to revisit it soon.

'BALLILOGUE IS AN AMAZING PROPERTY, HOPE TO RETURN SOMEDAY' Ballilogue is an amazing property. My dad and sister are antique collectors and restore old homes, they were both in heaven. We had plenty of space for our party of nine, the grounds were beautiful and relaxing, the property manager Annie is lovely, she was warm and helpful from beginning to end. Make sure she opens up Mrs. Meaney's Cottage for you – it's really charming, historic and there is a shop within the cottage where you can buy wonderful handcrafted Irish gifts. Loved it and hope to return someday.

'WE LOVED BALLILOGUE' Ireland was incredible as always, I'm so happy I got to share the beauty of the country once again, I'm glad you're enjoying the photos so far. More are to come! We loooved Ballilogue, the Lodge was perfect. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. We were really frustrated to leave as our stay was way too short and I truly wish we had more time!

'EVERYTHING RAN SMOOTHLY FROM THE MOMENT WE ARRIVED UNTIL WE RELUCTANTLY WAVED GOODBYE' My rather large family travelled from various locations in the UK, Ireland and Australia, to enjoy the beautiful Ballilogue Lodge and House in all its glory during the May bank holiday weekend. The weather was beautiful, which allowed us to enjoy the gardens and breathe in the fresh countryside air. The House and Lodge are a real treat, with very thoughtful attention to detail and design. We took advantage of local caterers and a local babysitter, Kate - I highly recommend both. The entire weekend was fantastic and the Ballilogue team were a pleasure to deal with, ensuring everything ran smoothly from the moment we arrived, to the point where we reluctantly waved goodbye. We hope very much to be back again soon.
