Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Garden room (No. 16) was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Owners and staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Enjoyed coffee and homemade biscuits in the residents lounge on arrival and a really lovely meal in the evening by the fire. On checkout we were gifted their gorgeous brown bread and the rest of the wine we hadn't been able to finish at dinner (a very kind and thoughtful touch). Thank you so much Wild Honey Inn. Enjoy your well deserved break. Looking forward to returning when you re-open in the spring.

I was lucky enough to have a two night stay in the Wild Honey with my wife. We had a wonderful meal both night and we were only disappointed not to have a third. Great food served by a real friendly crew. Breakfast was great even if we only made it the first morning because we enjoyed ourselves at the second meal too much.
Looking forward to getting back there soon.

Exquisite, I will be back.
From the delicious pot of tea, with homemade biscuits, on arrival, to the final breakfast...this was the ultimate 3 day laethanta-here-a. The stay and dining experience will sustain me for the winter ahead...and I'm here contemplating another trip before the season ends. All the public areas and my bedroom were immaculate and I felt so comfortable and safe. Nothing was left to chance. & now to the dining. This is the best food in Co Clare, with the best chef, who knows his ingredients, and never 'gilds the lily" He lets the ingredients sing, and never feels the need to add extraneous garnishes, gimmicks, daubs or flowers from the garden. Every thing on the plate should be on the plate...for a reason. Viz...the humble egg. I had a perfectly poached egg, on a crisp disc of toast for breakfast...that tasted of a freshly laid, free range egg. As it should...nothing to distract from the superb flavour. Also on the breakfast menu is the most amazing pillowy soft omelette, with mackerel, a triumph. & staying on the theme of the humble egg...I had a heavenly creme brulée with dinner, accompanied by a tart/sour apple sorbet...zinging with flavour....the perfect end to a delicious lamb main course. This chef treats his ingredients with care and restraint. Less is more. Others please note
Thank you to all at the Wild Honey Inn for a wonderful break. I will be back.
