One MICHELIN Star

Property Overview

A Michelin-star restaurant nestled between Waring Street & Exchange Place in the historic back streets of the Cathedral Quarter in Belfast. The Muddlers Club is named after the secret society that met there over 200 years ago. The Muddlers Club focus on modern dining in a relaxed space and uses only the best local ingredients. Street art using masonic-inspired imagery and the all-seeing eye overlooking the restaurant sets the tone in the dark secretive yet warming post-industrial room designed by Oscar & Oscar.

Head chef and owner, Gareth McCaughey, handpicks the best of homegrown produce daily to ensure the quality of each dish served. The open kitchen provides a sense of theatre and allows the diner to watch as ingredients are transformed into meticulously simple dishes in front of them.

This is the perfect place. The staff are very friendly and passionate about what they serve. The food is like a taste explosion! The wine pairing was perfect, the sommelier was engaging and loved when we asked questions. My wife and I cannot rate Mugglers Club high enough and will definitely be back again. If you have not been then you have missed out on one of life's great experiences.

Excellent as always
Managed to book a table for Muddlers after lockdown and Boy it did not disappoint. It is back better than ever. The amuse bouche was outstanding and the fish course incredible. A lovely welcome back from the staff too. Can't wait to go again.

Gorgeous dining experience.
Really fabulous experience. In a gorgeous restaurant in a central location. Six course tasting menu but was really eight with snacks and amuse bouche. Surprise menu but Bronagh our server gave us a brief summary of courses so we knew basically what to expect and we knew anything could be swapped if needed.. the lamb was amazing as was the cod.. totally recommend this buzzing restaurant..will be booking it well in advance for my next trip to Belfast..

Another wonderful meal with great service. The Muddlers delivers every time, the food, service and wine are magnificent. Barry and the team continue to deliver. The lamb carpaccio was special. 2 bottles of a superb red Sancerre added to another great experience.
