We had a wonderful lunch today at the Buttery. Fabulous food and service. A very personalised experience made special by Diane and her colleagues.

My sister and I went for lunch here on a whim. I've been in a lot of hotels and restaurants in my time (thrown out of some!) but this was in a class above all others. You are made to feel like royalty from the moment you enter this magnificently restored Bishops Palace. Lunch was 3 courses for 45 euro. It was worth every cent! Delightful amuse-bouche, fresh baked breads, melt in the mouth crab to start and cod for main. The Dessert was just divine. Have the black forest - its nothing at all like what we all ate in the 70's. My only regret is that I did not take coffee in the gardens after. A stroll around them, a chillax in luxurious seating and beautiful landscaping calms the senses and restores the spirits. So go on - TREAT YOURSELF - we are all worth it
