SHU Restaurant

SHU was established in 2000 and is a multi-award winning restaurant and gathering place. Shu is home to three unique design-led spaces; The Main Room, Juls and The Upper House. On the ground floor, you will be invited to the Main Room restaurant is the heart of SHU which serves a seasonal menu of classic dishes with regularly added new additions in a thoughtfully designed, comfortably plush space. Nestled away in a cosy, subterranean space Jul's is a cocktail bar and restaurant sanctuary where music is played by DJs and live musicians on the house piano.

Brian McCann, the widely acclaimed chef who helms the kitchen, focuses on locally sourced, sustainable food, presenting simple refined dishes that are infused with local provenance. Shu is a well-established neighbourhood restaurant with a modern twist encompassing bustling and vibrant energy. With a choice of menus and vibes, Shu provides something for everyone.

Shu restaurant was superb on Saturday night. The meal was wonderful and the staff were very attentive, friendly and very efficient. The atmosphere was fantastic and the whole evening was absolutely amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. A truly wonderful experience.

Came here for a birthday dinner for my fiancée and we were not disappointed. Great cocktail menu and the six different courses we had (chicken liver pate, crispy lamb shoulder, roast pigeon, side of beef, chocolate fondant and butterscotch pot du creme) were all terrific. Especially the beef. There is also an excellent wine menu to pick from. Very efficient and friendly service. Also considering the location and the style of cuisine, the prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be back

Just wonderful
This was third time lucky for us as due to the year we all had! The food is wonderful the staff are wonderful the atmosphere is wonderful the whole evening was wonderful absolutely worth waiting for ! So to all at SHU heartfelt thanks for a wonderful evening.

Went here for Sunday dinner, really good service, really good meal! The set menu on Sunday is definitely a catch!

Fantastic service from all staff went above and beyond. The good is superb! Hats off to the chefs the best food I have had in Belfast and I eat out a lot. Couldn’t recommend more
