Property Overview

This Classic Georgian Building dates back to the 1760s originally making it an ambitious dream for owner Barry Canny to open a space that is affordable, accessible and reflects his deep passion for simple good food, fine wine and art. Barry set out on renovating this unique basement location as part of a listed building and with a lot of time, effort and 350 tonnes of concrete later, Peploe's opened its doors in November 2003.

This beautiful artistic space is named after the famed Scottish Colourist, Samuel John Pelpoe where reflections and reproductions of his artwork can be viewed throughout. Many have described the bistro as colourful, atmospheric with an informal yet sophisticated atmosphere. Enjoy creative & decorative tones and pieces such as leather chairs and reclaimed oak-panelled floor and walls, delicious Mediterranean style cuisine, fine wine, delicious cocktails and artistic treasures.

Peploe's is a popular destination to eat at any time of the day and its prime location makes it popular all year round.

Service : very welcoming, amazing staff.

Food : delicious and have a good variety and very balanced although the pesto was a little too salty for me.
The burrata is just mamamiaaaaaaaa

Atmosphere : very cosy not too loud and if you want to be calm and quiet come there at 12 I swear you will be all alone for at least 30mins

Quality/price : very affordable and incredible deal for 2/3 courses meal for lunch time.

Quantity: generous portions and you will be contented trust me

I highly recommend and will definitely go back !

A great place for a special occasion. Staff were very friendly at all times no matter how busy it gets. Onion salad wasnt too good though but the rest is delicious. The ribeye is a must order, though it came with french fries instead of mashed potatoes. Very central near Stephen's Green so you can grab a drink elsewhere afterwards.
