l’Gueuleton: Dublin

This charming Five Star restaurant, serving excellent French Bistro food and wine, is on the ground floor of the old Fade Street Tenements, in the Creative Quarter of Dublin’s City Centre.

Head Chef Aoife Barker brings the freshest of ingredients straight from the farm to the kitchen. Some dishes are classics, but, as the seasons' change so do the menus, so you will always find something new and exciting to try alongside favourites such as our famous French Onion Soup, Chargrilled Ribeye, Slow Roast Rare Breed Pork Belly. Even snails!

L’Gueuleton exudes rustic charm. With a combination of exposed red brick walls, industrial beams, copper ceilings, blackboard menus and educated staff, this place hits all the right notes for a luxurious dining experience.

Outside boasts one of Dublin’s best on-street terraces; covered and heated, with a view on to the Victorian façade of the George’s Arcade

We are delighted to announce that l'Gueuleton will be taking part in the Dine In Dublin Festival this year!

Outdoor seating and lovely lunch It's always hard to get a good outdoor spot in Dublin city on a sunny day and a rare warm day in October brought me and a friend to this great place. Initially I thought 'it's a bit posh so probably expensive' but my friend and I were pleasantly surprised by affordable lunch options (the around a tenner option!). We ended up ordering the same thing, Croque Madame and a beer. Nothing like a Friday afternoon pint, outside on a sunny day! The lunch portion was big, beautiful, great value and the staff were really friendly and helpful in recommending some local craft beers. I was pleasantly surprised and highly recommend it, definitely going back!

What a treat! A friend invited me to L'Gueuleton as a treat and I have to say I was amazed by the full experience. Starting with the staff, they were pleasant and professional from the moment we walked in the door. They struck a perfect balance of being helpful but not intrusive. It really set the tone for the meal. The food was delicious. As a part-time vegetarian, it was a joy to find such tasty options on the menu. The vegetable cassoulet, while not looking like the most exciting dish in the world, was incredibly flavoursome and I enjoyed every bite! The atmosphere was lovely. There was nice music, which wasn't too loud, and my friend and I were able to have a great chat in a nice area. Definitely worth treating yourself here if you get the chance
