The quality of the food when we went here this week was way better than we would have expected. Seriously, this should be a fine dining restaurant. The service was great but it was the food that really stood out. I had a starter with scallops and oxtail which was REALLY tasty and beautifully presented, as were all the dishes, and followed it up with Wicklow venison which was rich, dense and perfectly cooked. The desserts are often a let-down in French restaurants, but not here. We shared lemon curd tart with raspberry ice-cream (which came with bts of candied raspberry - nice touch!) and a chocolate square which looked like a brownie but was silky smooth and very more-ish. If your visiting Dublin - or just a local like me - and looking for somewhere a little special I'd heartily recommend it.
