"Amazing dinner" A group of 6 of us went for dinner and had the tasting menu. The staff were very friendly and were the utmost professionals - someone in the group had a dairy intolerance and every course, the staff knew this and explained the slight variation to the meal on this basis. They were incredibly accommodating of this. The food was cooked to perfection - each course was done perfectly and tasted amazing. The portion sizes were very small, as expected for a fine dining experience. The price of the menu also matched this fine dining experience but only served to make the portion sizes stand out more as particularly small for the price being paid.
Having said that, the restaurant is definitely worth a visit at least once to experience the incredible cooking and very well run establishment. I would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

"Outstanding.. absolutely blown away!" Visited this hidden delight with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary..
Everything was incredible, the food is next level!! We were both speechless !! The scallops were perfectly cooked. Every dish had so many different tastes going on.. each bite was sensational.
Best meal we have ever had!
The desserts were next level.. we had a gorgeous coconut dessert along with a chocolate Peacan one.. amazing!! The chocolates at the end were a lovely touch.
Well done to all involved. We can’t wait to visit again!!!!

"Dinner with family" My sister in law was visiting and she had yet to enjoy a tasting menu at a Michelin star restaurant so my husband and I decided to make reservations at L'Ecrivain. We enjoy our fine dining and we particular enjoy tasting menus and we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely worthy of a Michelin star and we enjoyed each and every course. The wine was paired perfectly with each course. The staff were very professional and attentive.
I would give 90%. The reason I cannot give 100% is simply down to the decor because it is not what I expect to find at a Michelin star restaurant. We all agreed that the decor let the place down.
I would still return and I do highly recommend.

"Great Dinner" We were looking forward to this Michelin * dinner and were not disappointed.
Food: As one would expect the food level was very high. We had the scallops with pork belly and Jerusalem artichoke with eel soup for our first course. The soup was sufficiently creamy and the smoked eel and crisp chicken skin gave a wonderful crunch. The pork belly had a nice sweet taste to the scallops. For our main course, we both had the venison with venison sausage. The venison was perfectly prepared. I liked the sausage more than my husband.
Room: Tables are sufficiently separated, although unnecessary our night because the restaurant wasn’t full. The room is quiet and decorated with Frank Lloyd Wright style stained glass. Very attractive.
Service: Excellent as one would expect.
We were delighted with our experience and would definitely recommend.

"Beautiful Evening" We were visiting Dublin recently, and had the absolute pleasure of dining at L'Ecrivain. From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive, entertaining and knowledgeable. A big shout out to Filip for also making our evening exceptional. The food was incredible. And the potato side dish ... absolute heaven. (And we have had our share of potato dishes !) It really was a wonderful evening topped off by the pleasure of meeting Chef Derry Clarke. If you are in Dublin and are looking for a special night out, look no further.

"Beautiful restaurant, gorgeous food, top notch service" From being greeted at the front door to chatting with the owner, everything was first class. The subdued lighting, the lovely Irish art on the walls and the friendly and informative staff made this an exceptional evening.
The food was spectacular! Definitely recommend!
